did and Fournette's frustration in that game. It was a big FU to Alleva.

“I want us to think about which scenario is worse for LSU. Explaining why we let him go or explaining why we let him stay,” Alleva wrote. “I think we have cause. I specifically told him not to text, call or be alone with any student workers and he obviously didn’t listen. I know there are many possible outcomes and much risk either way, but I believe it is in the best interest in the long run to make a break. ”

Why didn't we? Even sunshine pumpers would accept a firing for cause.

With as awful as Alleva handled Duke lacrosse and then the Les miles situation, I’m sure he was pumping info to USA Today

1/9/12 was a fire-able offense on pure coaching alone.

Because he basically spit on the face of all the people that went to bat for him a year earlier.

I went and enjoyed it. Obviously would have been better had we won, but it was a lot of fun.

The OP is puzzling because he is positing a special reason to explain why Les Miles called the game exactly like he called every other game.

why we let him stay,

He sucked at his job for along time. He should have been fired many times before. LSU could have been done with him in 2013 and moved the program in a positive direction. I wanted him gone after the Tenn game in 2005. You DO NOT lose a game at home with a team full of NFL players when you have a 21 point lead at halftime. He made as much sense as Joe Biden, mumbling incoherent nonsense.

WTF You missed a great trip one that’ll be talked about forever. It was known by all he was officially done and wouldn’t finish the season. Was actually excited it was finally over. The fukin game result never alters a road trip experience for my crew.

I agree. We went to the game and stayed in a historic Milwaukee hotel. We had great tickets in a storied venue. Great trip. Wisconsin fans were so nice before and after the game.Too bad we didn’t win.

It was funny that all summer they talked about updating the offense. The updates turned out that they added two reverses that the ‘86 Giants ran.

I was in agreement with your basic premise until you gave these 2 examples. How about just the overall refusal to modernize an offense? Just fire him because he was a coach just not doing his job.
But to use 2005 Tenn? After Katrina with a team physically, emotionally and mentally toasted. That game the whole program gets a solid pass for. My gosh.
And 2013? We threw the ball all over the field.
Pick any number of a hundred other reasons and I’m with you.

That’s why he accelerated his firing?
