I just found out they opened up Southland by steamrolling Lamar to a 55-0 shutout on the heels of an 87-3 victory over D2 Lincoln on February 19. I really want to see this team play. Opinions/thoughts?

Haven’t followed the program closely but seems they’ve been successful the last few years. Is Rebowe a guy that moves up the coaching ranks ?

Let me know when they play a team with a pulse. Rebowe has done a great job down there though, they are a solid team.

Tim Rebowe is awesome. He pretty much brought that program back from the brink. He has done a really good job of taking advantage of homegrown talent.

They might have given LSU a run for their money had the 2020 game not been canceled due to COVID
Could you imagine if LSU would have dropped that game.

I posted after the Lincoln game someone said Rebowe may head to UL should Napier take a bigger gig in power 5..

I forgot LSU was to play Nicholls last year.. That would've been Lindsey Scott as a starter in Tiger Stadium

Hear about them on the radio the other day. Their qb is an LSU transfer who is killing it at the lower level. Similar situation to Malik Willis going from Auburn to Liberty.

Their roster is full of Louisiana kids, and many are D1/P5 transfers and seniors.

One in particular, Lindsey Scott only has 4 touchdowns, albeit on 28/35 passing and 385 so I'm trying to see who else is doing this quarterbacking!

Also bad arse that he wears #0 in my opinion

True that they haven't played anyone with a pulse yet, but still pretty impressive for this year. They won conference the past two years. One of the big things Rebowe has done is have Louisiana players. If I recall they only have 4-6 players from out of state.

^ You think?

Lindsey Scott, the most dominant "zero" since...

Actual Zero. They even both wear red during battle.

I highly doubt that... Did we all of a sudden forget we got Nicholls best DB last year? Remembered how'd that turn out for Mr. Evans??

We’ll see how well they play when the weather gets colder.

last playoffs they had to travel to N. Dakota St. in December. Would be nice if N. Dakota St. had to travel to Thibodaux in May

I say this as someone who would have been pulling for Nicholls since they’re my second favorite FB team, some of you LSU fans are as over dramatic as 13 year old girls.

I don’t care how bad you think your team was last year, Nicholls would have not given them a run for their money. A $160 Million athletic budget vs what Nicholls has should guarantee that.

The fumble in the River Bell was one of the most bad luck things to ever happen to SLU.

Southland been taking it up the arse on that for years. Multiple times the conference champion had to travel north to play those conferences non-champion too
