These BMI calculators do not take into account muscle mass so they are completely unreliable if you work out a lot. The BMI says I am overweight but I'm the furthest thing from it. Wear slim fit everything and while I could probably stand to lose a few pounds, I ain't close to overweight.

Hope you're strong because you aren't smart

I weighed 180 in HS and according to the charts at the time, I was overweight.
I was scrawny.

which one from the picture i posted on page #2 do you look like? be honest, then read the descriptions below, you might(prolly are) be overweight.

Some researchers contend that from a metabolic standpoint weight is weight, whether muscle or fat.
no researchers that are taken serious contend tht from a metabolic standpoint weight is weight. there are dozens of meta analysis and hundreds of studies that prove that false.

I'm 5-9, 200 with my clothes on. 35 inch waist, 46 inch chest. If I gained 5 lbs I would also be obese by the BMI chart.
tell me which of the pictures you look like. I am personally same height and weight and have been lifting for close to 25 years now and I can tell you right now....i am fat. Granted i dont have super genetics or anything, but I am at about 20% bodyfat, which I consider fat.
I dont look fat in clothes and neither do you and the average person in no way shape or form would say i am fat, but I am. anything above 18% is fat. 15% is what was and should still be considered average.
Mingo, the fat acceptance is strong on the OT today. Very Strong.
