Hey man... kindly eat shite. I agree with you the utility didn’t seek out a kid to kill but it’s fair to allow the situation to move through the courts.

Power goes out in New Orleans. People don’t stop at intersections where traffic lights are out and get in accidents. They sue Entergy for their failing to obey traffic laws. Happens a lot. So this really isn’t surprising.

And given that it’s under force majeure it’s not going anywhere. Good luck for some attorney being able to prove negligence in a once in a lifetime weather event. Lawyers get paid, that’s all.

So the autopsy shows he died of hypothermia while a 3.5 year old in the next bed suffered no ill effects of the cold?

It is a very sad situation, but science doesn’t support them jumping to this already. Many of us with kids suffered through no heater when the power went out for multiple days. This happened in less than 24 hours basically.

But of course, sue them for $100,000,000.

No it is not fair to even give this suit a minute of the court's time. The courts have real cases before them. The parents were 100% negligent in this and should be facing manslaughter charges.
