They will make more and move along down the entitlement highway.

Yes. The power company was intentionally killing people. That’s their super secret plan.
Well, they are supposed to supply power. And they are also to know WTF to do when there's an issue.
They know how many customers they have and the knew the storm was coming...therefore knew they couldn't match needed output.
Bottoming, is even with bad parenting decisions, the company played a role in the child's death

This must be the American dream I keep hearing about

curious to see the autopsy report, especially since they regained power during the night.
Went to bed at 10pm, power was back on before morning.

Maybe they should sue mother nature too.

I slept in less than 40 degrees 2 nights in a row on Monday/Tuesday night. I know it was less than 40 b/c my thermostat doesn't go lower than that number and just says "lo".
I wore 3 pairs of socks 2 pairs of pants, 3 shirts, a beanie gloves and 2 blankets. I was nowhere near getting hypothermia. I am extremely sad for this family, but I'm not sure how far this makes it

Of course not, you idiot. This is about people blaming the parents and the fact that they are immigrants as if there is any validity to that absolute horse shite. The kid was apparently well cared for and happy. Shouldn’t have died. I empathize with the parents. I don’t give a damn if they were here legally or illegally. I don’t care if they didn’t speak English. That is a fricking terrible situation that has nothing to do with being a “dreamer,” or an “anchor baby” or them being here “illegally.”
Like I said, if you can’t separate those things from the fact that the kid died because his family lost power in a storm that was predicted two weeks ago and during a winter that was predicted before it even began by meteorologists in Texas and abroad, then you’re without hope. And if ERCOT has said “flee, we can’t provide you power” a bunch of us would have done so. Instead, they let this shite happen.
But keep on blaming the victim. And keep setting up straw men like “starving children” (this kid wasn’t starving and the two are mutually exclusive). I do donate to the Houston Food Bank, FWIW.

While she first felt "worried when the electricity went out," Pineda says she didn't contemplate seeking another shelter.
“I thought we'll stay here. We'll stay in our little beds together. But this is what happened," she says.
Now, Pineda and her family are staying with a cousin
That alone screams neglect on her end. She deliberately stayed at home amid freezing temperatures and no electricity... while knowing she had a cousin they could go stay with.
Her choice, her heartbreak. It’s a very, very sad story but I would not expect a lawsuit to unfold where she actually gets paid by a “power company”.

Too long didnt read. If you spend 1 cent on yourself and not others who need it you really don't care.

That’s not how negligence works, chief.
(Not that I agree in any way, shape, or form with attempting to recover money from the power company in this case.)

1 or 2 people per storm until the whole world is dead, except for the power company employees

When do the parents be held responsible? Why didn’t they lie in bed next to him for warmth? When are adults held responsible in your liberal fantasy world?
Get fricked

After playing outside, Pineda says her son went to bed around 10 p.m.
They let the kids play in the snow that night knowing they had no heat to warm him up?
