I've already been vaccinated. I walk around in public without a mask and can breathe, whereas I couldn't before because my COPD wouldn't allow me to.
I am taking my second injection Tuesday. I too have COPD (years of being stupid and smoking) but last year I had pneumonia 4 times, 2 of which I was in ICU. I decided it was in my best interest to have the injection. I didn't have any reactions from the 1st one, hoping the 2nd is as easy!

No. My experience with Covid was less consequential than the flu; chills, headache and low grade fever the first day, all of which were alleviated by acetaminophen. By the second day, the chills were gone, and I was feeling almost normal by the third day.
Can't see where I need the vaccine.

no, i don't take any vaccinations, covid, flu, etc.
i already have the best defense system available. my immune system.
I never get flu shots either. I don’t drink or smoke, I eat a sensible diet, exercise regularly and I work in a fairly strenuous, non-sedentary occupation. A healthful and active lifestyle is the best preventive medicine.

Ten days out on 2nd shot. Pfizer, which I didn't want because I preferred Moderna. But, my place had the Pfizer. First injection, maybe a little soreness in shoulder day 2. Second shot, my wife and I both had muscle aches and headaches day after. We were glad to have the opportunity. Thanks Warp Speed!

You think a flu vaccine is what?

Already been offered, said no.
Reason? I usually don't buy version 1.0 of anything.
Same for me.

My wife and I both will not be guinea pigs for the shot! I already don't believe in masks, so that should tell you how much I desire a shot for the virus b.s.!!

had 1st shot in Jan. no probs.
First shot injects the virus
Had my 2nd shot this past Fri. the 19th, arm kinda sore Sat. with a little bout of chills for a coupla hrs Sat afternoon.
Second shot activates it.
I am 67 myself. I do not want it.
With you being injected with the virus did you have to quarantine yourself from the family? It sounds like the virus was active after the second shot.

Tell me how so. He stated he had symptoms after his second shot. My question is did the second shot cause it. If so, did it activate the virus from the first shot. It is not that hard to understand the question.

Legit offered and passed

There is no virus that is injected in your body therefore there is nothing to be “activated.” This isn’t 80s sci-fi

Same here. I don’t take the flu shot either, it’s a personal choice. I’ve had the flu twice in my life and neither time was it even the same flu the vaccine was for.

Yes I took it being a teacher I did not want any future opportunities to say I was disqualified due to not having it. I mean I viewed it as a flu vaccine

Tell me more. Explain it to me how my body will develop immunity if it has not seen the virus.

An injection: In this case, it usually contains tiny amounts of deactivated, and therefore not harmful, flu viruses.

I did.
Vaccines are probably one of the bigger success stories in history.
Smallpox, polio, measles, and on and on and on.
I also was in the Army for 21 active years so I got all sorts of vaccines everytime I changed station.

Yes I will and will because my father is a doctor, has already taken it, reassured me it was safe, and I value his advice above anyone else’s when it comes to issues such as this.

The vaccine is just instructions for the body to build a piece of the spike protein (the little pointy things you see on depictions of viruses). Once it builds the piece of the spike protein, the cell breaks down the mRNA and disposes of it.
The cell then displays the piece of the spike protein that was just created by the instructions in the vaccine. Your immune system says “hey this doesn’t belong here!” And then creates an immune response which gives us antibodies.
That’s it.
