I don’t think he can ever be “back” like he was. He’s trending, kind of unreal expectations from his run when he was on fire. Still some strange shots then makes up with a 50 foot bomb or a chip in, but I think he’s on the right track.

He’s playing that rope hook/draw. It looks like he’s having fun again.

Imo yes. I was hesitant on saying this when he hooked one in the water coming down the stretch last Sunday. But he is striping the ball and seems to have way more control and his misses are more predictable compared to his two way miss last couple years. His putting is still elite and he’s showing why he’s one of the better iron players in the world right now. Imo when he’s driving the ball well he’s the best player in the world. The one of maybe 3 players on earth that could rattle of multiple majors in a year. Golf has missed him snd i do hope he returns because he is when he’s at his best most likely the best or 2nd best player on the planet. Just my two cents.

No offense, but I’m not sure you can call a 27 year old golfer with 14 wins and 3 majors a mental midget lol.

He is playing a course he is very comfortable at with little to no competition.

He still needs to get away from Mcormick.

Yes. New changes in his swing are great.

He can’t fade the ball - that will hurt him at some prime tournaments - most noteworthy, Augusta.

This course is primo for him - and the bad weather keeps low scores from competitors - and two eagles and par 4s have bolstered him.

He is still a good player but no where close to 2015 levels.

This is the same reason why Martin Kaymer never won at Augusta

Very few people will ever have the run he had. However, it’s nice to see him back in the conversation. He’s not shanking it and spraying it all over the ball park looking miserable.

Golf needs him. I’m pulling for him.

He’s been talking with Butch again, and I think that’s helping his confidence.

Agreed. His game doesn’t fit Augusta apparently. T2, Win, T2, T11, T3 is just evidence that it just doesn’t fit him. Smh

You realize Augusta actually caters to righty draws right?

If he can get a “go to” ball flight off the tee he will be fine. You can’t score from some of the places his drives have ended up. His iron game is good and his putter is coming back. Golf is all about confidence and his is improving.

He just worked a ton on gaining confidence with his draw. Eliminating the right side. Look at his tee shot on 18 yesterday to see if he’s back IMO.

Kaymer couldn't hit a draw, so he changed his swing just for Augusta. The lack of a fade at Augusta isn't a huge deal. Hell, P Reed won three years ago and hits draw a ton.
