Is it ok to put down after a rain?

Yes, though I’d I personally wait until the surface of the weeds are for the most part dry, and not sopping wet.

What temperature should we start making the switch to Celsius? I don’t think I’ll need another app for a while and if I’m going to mix up another Cleggs one I’ll need to go buy more atrazine.

ronk would know best but I usually make the transition to Celsius and/or metsulfuron methyl when Virginia Buttonweed begins to emerge in my lawn, which in my experience in BR is late April - but I’m not implying you can’t start using Celsius effectively earlier.

What is the cocktail if I were buying from HD? Giftcards. Might as well use it

You’ll need to go to a garden center to buy these - HD or Lowe’s won’t have them.

Craw, with the cocktail, do you mix it in 1 or 2 gallons of water?

This what I do - if I do a whole lawn or large area spray I mix it in 2 gallon of water, with my sprayer and my walking pace, 2 gallons covers 1000 sq ft. Now if I spot spray individual weeds or smaller lumps of weeds, I mix the same dose of herbicides in 1 gal of water. That has worked for me for killing the weeds with no negative repercussions on the lawn.

My normal rotation might read something like this: MCPP, MCPA, and Dicamba December, January, and February. Certainty and Atrazine spot treated on poa and rescue grass. I stop that once bermuda greens up or April 15th. Whichever comes first. March-April I would use MSM. May-November usually Celsius. It doesn't work as well in November but it still works.

When applying this, do I need to soak the weed down to the root or is a mist that just wets the leaves good enough? Also I’m assuming now is a good time to apply here in Houston?

It’s a coating. Not too little, not too much. Normal walking speed and start right before the weed and stop spraying after. Hold the nozzle at knee height.

Ronk don’t mix this in a pull behind tank sprayer and spray entire yard? This is a spot spray thing?
Posted on 2/10/21 at 11:49 am to Purpleblooded
It says apply uniformly over entire yard

Both - you can spray over the entire yard as specified on the instructions or spot spray individual weeds.

Great info. Thanks.
