My lump of coal story - thank you Ancient Tiger for waking me up!

Short story, I have been holding roughly 1100 shares of my company's stock in a private brokerage account valued @ $25/share.
5 years ago it hung out at roughly $25/share.
10 year ago it hung out at roughly $25/share.
Get the picture?
this has been sitting in an account doing absolutey NOTHING for me other than me being a good 'company boy'. I literally have ignored this account for years. The wife doesn't even know it exists so its essentially 'play money'.
tl;dr i decided to cash out 50% of it and join the Cult of AT and in 2 days that $26k that has done nothing for over 10 years is up more than 20% EVEN with me still holding 500 shars of no-move company stock.
better late than never to the game.
THANKS AT! better to take a chance and lose than to not have taken a chance at all.

There is probably some middle ground between a stagnant individual stock and pennies, but you’re on the right track.

I had an account with a few hundred dollars in it that I intended to close out some time ago. I dropped it in TSNP and it's over 1k now

That’s the key though, make enough money that you can do something with it, so it makes a difference

I feel like Apple has been sitting around doing nothing for me compared to all my other investments the last month.

Invested 25k in a startup and sold it for 50 million. There is real wealth creation then there are stocks for the fund. "IF THE SHOE FITS, WEAR IT DON'T THROW IT"

I had about 4 or 5 big time losers in my rollover 401k account that I kept hold hoping one day they would eventually come back b/c I couldn't stand to sell for such huge losses. I recently sold them all, took what little money I had left from those investments and put it all into AT stocks. Hopefully the huge gains his stocks seem to have will more than offset the money I lost on those accounts.

You’d think Burger King stock would’ve moved more in that time
