Son wants to get Spider Man - Miles Morales, but, i think he may be a little to young for that.
What does the board think?
Any other recs for that age? Was looking at SackBoy also, seems more age appropriate.

Sports games baw. It will make him semi learn about a sport and its players. A lot of young kids become fans because of the teams/players they play with on games.
ETA this is from someone whose been playing video games since 2002 and never beaten a story mode lmao

Demon's Souls seems like something a kid would enjoy

My whole family plays Sackboy. My son is also 8 and he just beat Astro’s World. He loved that. He also plays Miles Morales though.

My son is 5.5 and really enjoyed Astro bot or whatever its called. I let him run around in Ratchet and Clank but its too much for him.
Another option would be the LEGO games. One of the LEGO MArvel games is like $20 on there.

Lego games, Spider-Man is fine. My kid likes playing Rocket League too, but chat features are off.
Sports games seem like a good fit too. Especially if he’ll have friends over wanting to play with him locally (not online).
My kid and his buddies also play Fortnite.

My 7 and 5 year old play the Miles Morales on PS5 together, they are actually good at it which is hella damn weird, but the violence isn't something crazy, no blood and the guns don't really show shooting gore etc.

Nothing wrong with Spiderman

We play Sackboy as a family and our 7 year old daughter loves it.
For a kids game the graphics & game play is amazing when you look at the details & textures.
Each level is completely different and it is worth every penny.
