This form of denial is within us all, or at least me, when I begin cuts.

You must decide.

Do you really want to lose fat?

Because if you do, then you will do what needs to be done.

It’s ok if you don’t though.

What are your goals?

You can't say you want to lose weight yet give in to every temptation.

Living clean requires discipline. I love drinking and eating. They are two of my favorite things.

But I'm almost 41 and being fit is more important for my long term health.

I still drink occasionally, but thankfully for me my food vices are all proteins like steak and ahi tuna. I can eat that shite for days and lose weight.

This is going to come off as harsh, but in reality it’s what I tell myself.

Don’t be a bitch. Fight off the carb cravings.

Sounds like your body is use to them at a certain hour. Your body is going to crave that sugar at night until you break the cycle with some self-determination and will.

You can eat dinner rolls and keep being overweight, or stop being a bitch.

I tell myself this 6 times a day. Especially around this time of night when my body wants a huge bowl of Froot Loops.

Yeah, you're going to have to make more of an effort in the kitchen and at the bar. One or two beers shouldn't hurt too much, but not every night. And binging on carbs, you will never lose weight...

It’s not complicated. You are putting more calories into your body than you are putting out. Stop doing that and you’ll lose weight.

You say you're going to the gym, but don't say what you're doing there. With your goals being body recomposition and "impressing women" that isn't going to happen with 30 minute casual rides on the recumbent bike. You have to push yourself and hit the compound exercises: swuat, bench, deadlift, pullups.

I have found it much easier to adhere to dietary restrictions when I know I just killed myself in the gym. It creates a mentality of discipline that carries over into the rest of your life.

Take a picture of yourself with no shirt on and use it as a wallpaper on your phone.

Try skipping a meal once a week to offset the calorie spike. Went out one night and had some beers and ate too many carbs, skip dinner the next night. All things equal, it will help you reach a deficit.

If you feel embarrassed and/or your friends are shaming you just lie and tell them your doctor says you are diabetic or on verge of being diabetic.

I've seen a thing about kombucha tea quenching some craving that beer causes. IDK if it's true I never cared much for beer so I can't test it for myself . Also beer is like super estrogen fuel with hops having crazy amounts of estrogen.
