I personally take the cellophane off and leave them in the box if your humidor has the room.

I take cellophane off unless the particular cigar(s) don’t mesh with the style I typically buy. I do not keep cigars in their boxes due to space limitations. So a Maduro wrapper will stay on . I most always smoke mild and natural wrapper type cigars.

Aww come on you don’t want to work on your own personal blend and make something like a poor mans pappy van winkle.

The opinions on wrappers on/off is a subject that rarely convinces me one way is better than the other, lol!. Since I like what I like, and find dark cigars too much for my palate in my older years, I tend to stay in the same flavor profile.

The whole plastic wrapper thing is preference really. Cellophane breathes, so you don’t have to worry about the cigar not getting the humidity of your humidor. There is a rumor that leaving the plastic in slows the process for different cigar wrapper flavors bleeding into your cigars below. But I don’t know how much of that is true.
Personally, I leave them how I buy them. I only have a 50 or 75 count humidor so I’m not shoving boxes in there.

My thoughts on this have always been to leave them as I bought them as well because that’s how they’ve been aging, but lately I’ve been taking them out of the cellophane for no other reason than aesthetics. I haven’t had an issue with blending flavor profiles as far as I can tell, but I don’t put flavored smokes in my humidors if I buy one.
JimMorrison, we’re doing broccolini, broccoli, asparagus, bell peppers, better boy tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, jalapeños, romaine lettuce, spinach, pole beans, watermelon, and strawberries. My wife likes to can for the winter.
Battling wasps and carpenter bees already here in NC, so I burned a Vegas Gold recommended here by RedPop I believe while I did it
Very smooth and consistent caramel with nutty flavors that finished with some spice. More mild than I typically like, but I enjoyed it! Would recommend also. Especially as a good smoke that’s a break from your normal rotation.

AF 858 and Parish Reve to start the Friday Evening relax

Our resident down voter will be here shortly to show their disapproval of the 858.
Great smoke and nice porch!

Haha. I can understand not liking the cigar but why downvote a person smoking what they enjoy.
Posted on 3/26/21 at 5:34 pm to Verdi
At least have the courage to explain why you don’t like it. Makes no sense just to drive by downvote

858 to me is a great cigar. Like beer, there are many good ones and many better ones.
This is a quick burning smoke which is only downside to some of my situations.

I would put the 858 right in between premium and cheapo. Not quite primo, but definitely not cheapo despite its cheaper price. A very good smoke overall.
Like with beer, everyone’s palette is different, so I’m genuinely curious to hear complaints about it. I’ve never met anyone that didn’t like what Arturo Fuente puts out.

Pairing a stogie with Reve is a great idea. Gonna try the same pairing this weekend.

Had these last night. That Opus X Lost City was phenomenal.

Black Market with Lag16 for the night. I started with a Tatiana flavored for some sweetness, but I didn’t like it. Going back to acid for that sweet tooth

Good morning smoke is a Macanudo vintage maduro.

Y’all always come with some interesting sticks. Only thing I’ve smoked lately that’s not really mainstream is a Sancho Panza from Honduras. Very good smoke.
Had an interesting conversation with my kid’s kindergarten teacher this afternoon when I picked him up from school that y’all may find amusing. She wanted to talk about what she called “concerning influences.” Turns out he has been discussing cigars with his classmates and mimicking the motions I make when smoking one
