Would you recommend those Las Vegas? I always see them advertised and they’re rated highly, I’ve just never thought to buy them. They suffer from the same issue a lot of good smokes do. Name recognition.
You're right about the name recognition, as well as the oft-times sidelong glance at them because they are a "house blend."

But, yes, I would recommend the Don Vicente if you can find them. I had not really looked for them, just decided to pull this single out and smoke it.

Enjoyed a My Father Flor de las Antillas at our crawfish boil on Sunday. A box pressed, medium bodied stick with some subtle spice. Paired nicely with an Abita Strawberry beer and just long enough while watching the crawfish cook.

In the last year, 2 different people that I know have been diagnosed and treated for oral cancer, neither one ever smoked anything.

So yeah in the great unknown pantheon you can carefully do everything “right” and still get sick. You can die in a wreck tomorrow.

I don’t know that My Father has ever put out a cigar that wasn’t excellent. They’re one of the brands I only break out for special occasions, like a crawfish boil.

Been a long week and just got to sit down to enjoy another Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva. Really enjoying this smoke. I’m burning through my stock quickly

MF is really good; just got some new stock myself. I don't really have special occasion smokes. I'll pull anything out whenever I'm in the mood. I'm not necessarily saving anything.

I just lit a Nasty Fritas after a storm rolled through

It is unique, for sure. You can't see in the pic, but the foot is covered in folded wrapper. Like every Liga, the smoke is abundant and has an excellent draw.

Lots of coffee and earth, slight spiciness. You'd assume it would intensify quickly as the gauge gets smaller, but it stays smooth through to the end.

With most of their pricing schedule, only the Aroma de Cuba and Old Henry would NOT be special occasion smokes for me. I like all their blends, but those are the only ones I would buy with any regularity. If you can catch the Old Henry on sale from Holt's (they're a Holt's house blend) for under $90.00 a box, you're doing well. They DO come in a box of 25, though!

Enjoying an Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Natural with a large pour of Jack and coke (zero). Sporting my newly gifted Xicar cutter and monkey ash tray, because of this group, lol! I find the draw on the V cut nice, with no residual leaf bits on my tongue. Good evening fellas!!

Happy Friday, gentlemen!

I need to pick up one of those monkey ash trays I’ve been searching the antique shops locally for a cast iron ash tray like yours. No luck so far. The owner of one of the shops actually said he rarely sees them. People like the guy in this thread are buying them up and melting them down for their anti cigar propaganda news letter is my guess.

Cold and raining tonight, so I may sneak down to the basement after the wife and kids go to bed to burn one CAO Brazilia Go! will likely be the choice.

You got a Caesar! Enjoy Mine has been lonely, but Sunday I plan to give him some company. Haven’t had a chance to enjoy a smoke with him in some time.

That’s what I’m talking about! I left LA about eight years ago, but to this day we always overnight a sack or two for what they call a “low country boil” up here. We don’t usually lose too many during shipping, surprisingly. The best part is no one up here eats more than a handful, so we peel, freeze, and eat on them for months after.

What smoke is that? I’m not familiar with the band.
