One last cigar to cap off a great vacation. Africa is a beautiful country! Cuban in Cape Town!

How long do y'all let your cigars sit in your humidors if you get them by mail before smoking them? That Alec Bradley I smoked a few nights ago sat for a week and a half after I got it in and it had major burn issues.

Depends upon if I am ready to smoke it.

It happens on sticks, occasionally, but most cigars you purchase should be ready to go. You may have just got a bad one, or your humidor is off. Don't sweat it man.

To answer your question directly, I always have plenty of cigars on hand and on the rare occasion I smoke one right out the box, I rarely run into any canoeing or draw issues. I would typically smoke one after a couple weeks of storage for the initial taste and wait a few weeks more to before I regularly smoke them. So a month and a half to two months. If we are talking a one off purchase, would smoke that right away, normally.

Thanks. Do any of y’all smoke pipes as well? Recently purchased a corn cob and 4 different tobaccos but I don’t know if I really get it if you know what I mean.

Sometimes they dont hit the humidor

I would imagine that was just something with the cigar. I occasionally get some that dont smoke well

I do have a couple pipes and some "bourbon" tobacco. Occasionally, I will light up the pipe if the mood strikes, but find it more of a novelty. It just doesn't have the same comfortable process cigars offer, for me, and normally smoke the pipe in much cooler weather. I store my pipe tobacco in a few cigar metal tubes I have so that the tobacco flavor doesn't mingle with my cigar humidor. It just doesn't intrigue me like cigars do, so I know what you mean when you say "get it".

Thanks. I think that’s what it is for me. Too much to do with it. Packing a bowl, having to relight it, puffing it a certain way.

On the menu tonight is a Graycliff G2

Talk about a silky smooth Connecticut wrapper

First third in, what a treat compared to my last two cigars. Perfect draw, insane smoke output, razor sharp burn. Flavors are mild: nutty and grassy. Only hit would be that it doesn’t want to hold onto its ash.

New to the cigar game for sure. Gonna have to try a Graycliff out. Trying to stay mild to medium at the heaviest as a newb.

This is probably the best Connecticut wrapper cigar I’ve had. They’re cheap too. I got this 5 pack on Cbid for like $10

quote:

Graycliff 'G2' is a slight departure from the rest of the Graycliff lines in terms of price. 'G2' still maintains the same quality and construction enthusiasts have come to love about Graycliff, but is offered at a far less expensive price. Made in Nicaragua, this cigar offers a medium body, consisting of Cuban-seed, long-leaf tobaccos hailing from Nicaragua and the Dominican, which are concealed by an Ecuadoran Connecticut Shade wrapper. It is perfectly balanced, and offers peppery nuances while providing a creamy smoke with a spicy, but enjoyable finish.

Towards the end here I’m getting more of the peppery notes. Really impressed with this stick for the price I paid.

Happy Friday gents!

It is hot, but not hot enough to stop me from enjoying a smoke and drink on a Friday.

I’ll tell ya a good one for your palate as even though I’ve been smoking cigars for years, I tend to stay on this end of the spectrum

Cigar international- where I mostly buy from

Davidoff Churchill 4 pack- comes in a cool little light blue tin- smaller size/length cigars.. you can easily smoke 2 in an hour. But mild with a hint of vanilla that comes through.

Good burn. Stays lit. Stumbled on this a few months ago and really enjoyed it .

May be right up your alley

Thought for sure I'd finally light one up on the porch after tackling the grass in the backyard, but damn its moist out here. Opted for shower and some vodka martinis, stirred, not shaken, with a splash of olive juice and 4 olives. It's been well over a month since I lit one up. Wifey wants me to convert a bedroom to a closet and I said under one condition, I get a cigar room, inside. She has not said no.

A cigar room would be so nice to have. Especially during this time of year. I love sitting outside in the fall or spring relaxing with a drink and a cigar. A cigar room set up the way you want would be very relaxing in the summer. I’d never leave. You can keep all that going out and crowds
