Air Shims. $16 at Lowe’s. Buy two.
Have a pair and one of the larger ones, for cabinet and appliance installation. Definitely great tools if you are working solo.

Never realized how much use I’d get out of this thing. Worth every penny.

both of my answers above - Milwaukee cordless oscillating tool and speed square. Magnetic level is way up there as well. To speak to the magnetic stud finder thing, I use a 60lb capacity rare earth magnet as a stud finder. Works great and I use that a lot as well.

Lie Nielsen low angle block plane.
I use this on pretty much every wood project I do.

Adjustable head ratcheting wrench sets. I use them all of the time.

I built my entire home with this, and only this.

Lee Valley sharpening jig
I use this jig with wet/dry sandpaper on a granite block
I think I start around 220 grit up to 2000. The leather strop with rouge.
After that, it has a mirror finish. You won’t need to resharpen other than strop when it needs.
Only needs to be resharpened if it gets dings or rounded

Also, I agree with the guy he said the extender. Another five bucks will spend. Will fit on a standard drill or impact driver and can add 6 in.... Giving me a total of six and a half inches total reach (seems to be enough for my wife)
