Wade is clearly flawed

This has been evident for a while now. Wade clearly has holes in his game. The argument on this board should not be whether Wade is better than Trent and Johnny (he probably is), it is whether he is perfect and unassailable (he is most definitely not). The Wade worshipers proclaimed him a 'Gangster' and above reproach; it forced the rest of us to choose between Will Wade and common sense. I still like Wade and hope he evolves into a great coach as he ages, but I think we can all come together and agree he is flawed and, at times, worthy of criticism.

Hes an upgrade over Jones. He needs a bench coach

Speak for yourself, this guy needs to go. Just a good recruiter is not gonna cut it. The guy just flat out can’t coach.

You want to fire the coach that won the SEC and made the Sweet 16 two years ago, finished fourth in the SEC last year (got the NCAA taken away by Covid), and currently has LSU in sole second place in the SEC?
Take some time away from the internet and find something relaxing to do.

Yes he’s flawed he’s also still a young coach and a very good that LSU fans should be pleased to have. I get that at some point potential has to turn into results but he’s only in year 4 and two of those years had off the court issues (one partially his fault, one not his fault) cut his time coaching the team short.

Some of you idiots want to fire a coach that had the greatest season of any football coach 2 years ago. THat being said, Wade is not LSU material.

He does not get off the hook because he is young. He can either coach at this level and up to LSU expectations or he can not. Let him cut his teeth elsewhere.

The many has the highest winning % since Tad Gormley
People who say shite like his like we are historically a middle of the road program with a few good years here and there are fricking dumb

at the end, Mcclung hit the three and cut it to one, then TTU jumped into full court man
LSU called TO, Wade draws up Full Court Man Press Break, LSU goes out and turns the ball over, TTU scores to take the lead
1. an average HS coach can quickly draw up M2M pressure relief, they probably practice it everyday
2. Wade had a TO to draw it and remind them
3. LSU still went out and butchered it, didnt set a good screen for a guard, inbounded under their own basket, turned it over at their own rim
so what happened from the TO to the execution? there is no question wade has taught them what to do in that situation, had a TO to remind them what to do and they still messed it up
seems like something is very wrong

The guy is below average. Time to move on at the end of this year with the black eye he will leave.

Literally false
I love the “all he can do is recruit narrative”
1. So? That’s not exactly easy. “Hey come so our school with a 60 year old stadium, minimum fan support and a spattering of final 4s. We missed the tournament with the #1 pick and our fan base shits in him constantly, but we did get the second round with Shaq!”
2. Johnny Jones had the #1 picks and couple
Other guys who RS played in the NBA and he fricking missed the tournament. There is more than just rolling the ball out there.

Wade’s teams are frustrating to watch even sometimes in victory. Rag tag undisciplined and can piss away leads like no other team I’ve seen (trait of all Wade teams not just this one).

I’m just mad how we can never win a damn decent OOC game

It’s hard to imagine LSU basketball fans being more delusional than LSU football fans, but here we are.

Basketball is a team sport and great teams have both great players and are coached fundamentals. We have great players but lack the team approach and fundamentals. That's on WW. Perhaps he's not recruiting enough players that are team first and understand that team ball and fundamentals win lots of games. Roll players, rebounders, point guards that know how to execute the offense, shooting guard, a power forward and center.
He has not built a finely tuned team and they are very dissatisfying to watch. That's why we're all pissed at WW.

They played MUCH better defensively yesterday. Unfortunately, one of his best players (Watford) had a horrible game and another big piece of the team (Days) was lost to injury down the stretch. Yesterday’s loss was soul crushing, but LSU played much better (as a whole) than they’ve played in the last few weeks. The loss would be easier to swallow if they hadn’t been so bad defensively up to that point, which is 100% on Wade and was the reason for all of their prior losses.
In hindsight he made some bad decisions. Leblanc in over Wilkinson late and the apparent, sudden inability to draw up an in-bounds play when you have to have it. If they play like yesterday the rest of the way they will win more than they lose. But consistently has been a problem for the last two years. Overall though, this has been Wade’s worst job at LSU to date

So stupid. People on here and local sports radio used to love talking about how Trent was a great coach but terrible recruiter. Its like just because a team is bad, he must have been good at one or the other. Reality is that he was horrible at both. Marcus Thornton being on fire for an entire year does not count as good coaching.
