Good evening gentlemen. This pour is trending towards t00f sagamore double oak frequency. It's been my go to without rye for cocktails, but I've also been enjoying it neat from time to time.

I'm really enjoying the first few pours of this one.

I like Averna for black Manhattans, but haven't done much experimentation with amaro in general. This was a traditional variety with Punt e Mes as the vermouth. Carpano Antica is my favorite, but it's gotten too damn expensive.

I ended up getting a Handy basket, picks 2,3,5 didn’t show up.

First pick was Pappy 20, second was ORVW 10, I was third and was going back and forth between Handy and Parker’s 10 year Rye, I chose the Handy because it was $100 cheaper and felt like the better value.

Nice! I had a pour of that in Biloxi a few months ago. Really enjoyed it.

Anything stand out at bourbon fest?

Afternoon pour while grilling. This is a pre batched old fashioned leftover from a tailgate. These aged and ore bottles come as a pack of four with a small carrying case. They're TSA compliant and there's an erasable marker for the outer case.

These are brand new to the market and I really enjoyed them and look forward to grabbing some

Second to the left was finished in French Oak, next was finished in amburana (reminds me of the Barrell bottle, subtle) and right is finished in maple.

Also, apparently hard to find but the Pinhook brown top 8 year. I did like their 8 year bourbon wars too.

Food was plentiful and excellent, even dessert there.

I hope not with the age (7years) and the price.
It's pretty good and unique.

This was only $26.99 at Costco so can't be too critical but I don't love it.
