No offense but this is a pretty ignorant take on climate change. Personally I believe that we are having an affect on our climate, but its being exaggerated for political and corrupt means.

I can’t remember the scientist’s name but I heard Rush talking about this scientist’s research into “Global Warming” on his radio show 15-20 years ago. This scientist had done CO2 calculations on forest fires and prairie/range fires that burned across America before man was able to effectively combat these huge fires pre 1900. This scientist estimated that one huge forest fire left to burn itself out would put out more CO2 gases than all of the anthropogenic activities we would currently cause in one year.
These fires happened on a regular basis. Now imagine multiple forest fires and range fires across the globe annually before man had the ability to put them out. My recollection from this scientist is not an apples to apples comparison to man burning fossil fuels, it’s illustrate there may not be a tremendously huge difference in CO2 levels today than at other times in history. I’m also not sure Dr Kerry knows what the frick he’s talking about either.

then the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere wouldn’t have nearly doubled since 1940.

Compared to what?

I remember the fear porn about acid rain and ozone layer holes from school in the early 90s. Good times. Glad we were able to miraculously fix those doomsday situations.

We are incapable of measuring the atomic composition of the entire atmosphere. It is naïve to think so.

Yeah, I remember those too and the classroom "Experiments" that went along with them.

We have been measuring the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere for decades, and we can measure how much CO2 is produced from every industrial process that creates it.

This ^^^ is true. We have scientists who are invested in the business of climate change and they’re typically alarmists and there are some scientists who aren’t invested in the business of climate change. These scientists who are not invested in climate change, they will argue the pro climate change scientists are very political and they fudge their research data to keep their grant monies flowing. I’m not saying man doesn’t contribute to greenhouse gases I just don’t believe our contributions are wreaking havoc on global weather.

If you studied Biology, and more specifically population dynamics of ecosystems, you'd have a better understanding of the "checks and balances" of the earth.

Remember: The ozone hole is closing up.

You cannot attribute a single weather event or even a series of weather events with climate change because climate is the average weather over a 30 year period. So while it is silly to blame a specific event on climate change, it shouldn't detract from the main point-- which is that by more than doubling the concentration of greenhouse gases and dramatically reducing the planet's forest by replacing it with fields with lower biomass we are undoubtedly modifying the atmosphere with thermal affects.

If you somehow don't think that mankind is having an affect on the planet, I suggest you pull up google earth and look at the satellite view of say south Louisiana or any other developed region of the planet and see the countless agricultural fields

I could not agree more. Undeniable facts. Another fact: the earth has warmed about 2 degrees in the last 100 years.

I was in grade school in the 60’s to early 70’s.....it was an impending ice age when I was growing up. Lol!

This

We are taking up wildlife habitat though. Hard to believe buffalo migrated all the way to the gulf coast at one time.

You forgot all the "could be's" and "possibly's"

Pure speculation driven by greed.

Kind of funny they walk it back a decade later only to go to the other extreme. It's almost like... it's incomplete data.

For a laugh, Scientists now state we may not have another ice age for 100,000 years.

Also, I hope I'm not alone but some of the climate "scientists" say with the rising sea levels and increasing temperatures the Southern US will be like a tropical rainforest. I mean LA already is in terms of humidity, but that sounds awesome to me!

This was in my Facebook feed. Its only a conspiracy theory if they don't want you to know the truth about it....

Notice it's an AD. And it glorifies chy-nas capability of weather manipulation.

Louisiana's coast line errosion is largely due to neutria rats and the chemicals that float down the bayou from up north.

Nice try though.

Too small of a sample size and overall data collection to come to the conclusion that man is causing “climate change”.

Care to explain the ancient cypress forest about 40 miles off the coast in the gulf of mexico?? Was that our fault too? Or would u prefer to conveniently leave that out because it doesn’t suit ur argument?

Its a natural, cyclical phenomenon that we will have zero control over. Whether we like it or not.

.
This is my point also. How do we know the earth wouldn’t have warmed the same amount with a human population of zero?
