Sorry to be the one to tell you but 25,000,000 dollars for one year would cause you to think carefully too. Especially when it comes to football, a game that you love and once played for free. Besides he probably won't see those kind of paydays ever again. May as well take advantage of them while they are still available.

I made this statement to state the obvious from his point of view. Personally,I am ready for more mobility and down field passing. Too many Coaches play the games in their heads, but the games are determined on the field. How many people thought that Jalen Hurts was going to have success against us,or that they would win. I like Drew Brees, but he is not the QB from our SuperBowl Season, he was flawless.

What the hell is the rush? Why do you care when he does it as long as the front office is aware of his plans? The Saints will likely not turn in the retirement paperwork until after June 1 anyway.

Just FYI, Brees made his decision to return last year on February 18th via Instagram LINK

And today

Mickey Loomis said today that the Saints "will wait for" Drew Brees to make his decision — operating in a similar fashion to last year — before moving ahead.

Saints need to just move on

He is and most likely will be the greatest Saints QB ever but with Watson, Stafford, and others much younger available a decision has to be made.

They know he's retiring, they just aren't publicly pushing him out the door.

You would think that people who post on NFL football fan
forums would know about salary cap implications and
how it effects these high dollar players. This aint rocket
surgery.
