re: Watching replay of SEC championship game

I watched the whole thing, and it's interesting what you notice with the benefit of hindsight. Here's what I got out of it:

1.) RP really didn't look as good as I seemed to remember. A lot was made about how he won that game, but the credit should go to the defense.

2.) I can see where some of the prognosticators are saying that Tennessee has a shot to win the East. They did it last year, and I had forgotten how many Freshmen they had on last year's squad. I still think that it will be Florida, but Tennessee should be good this year.

3.) I hope one of the punters can at least approach the level of Fisher. That guy was phenomenal!

4.) If LSU can cut down on the penalties this year, they will be EXTREMELY hard to beat. The SECCG game would not have been anywhere near as close as it was if not for dumb penalties and turnovers.

5.) This may have been my imagination, but it seems that Crowton really scaled back the offensive play calling with RP in the game. It was very vanilla compared to a number of other games, including the NC game.

When Holliday fumbled, he almost got it back from the way the ball was bouncing forward. How awesome would that play have been? There was nothing but green in front of him if that ball lands in his arms while moving forward!

Yeah, me too... its like I'm putting up this heroic struggle to stay awake after wine and Sunday dinner just to see the big INT to clinch game...and WTF...COX goes to break and come back with LSU on defense up 21 -14. What assholes are running the show at COX anyway ?... pissed me off
