this isn’t the NFL or even the NBA where you can get a draft pick to turn your fortunes around. And I also don’t own the team.

A good manager and investing in your youth academy and development of players can tho
Hard to make money in a league once the major money makers leave
Like Sky and BT sport are going to spend billions for tv rights in an EPL with no Manchester United, Liverpool and the major London clubs.
Keep dreaming
This will essentially make all other clubs and leagues irrelevant all bc the scum bag American owners of Liverpool and United pitched this idea to protect their clubs and the others ones of similar status.

And TV networks in those countries won’t pay big money to show those matches bc their major ratings clubs are gone.
Not sure what your point is for pointing out the obvious that those team will be gone
This will kill leagues

Yes bc it has the full premier league above it
Do you understand how money flows down in European football
A big thing keeping the Championship standard so high is parachute payments
Good luck getting those when the major contributors are gone

Good. Any talk of a super league run by billionaires to protect their investment should be shut down. Soccer teams are not money making enterprises. The dumb as frick vultures think they can be money-making, when most clubs in the major leagues barely earn a profit. The long term effect is that a super league will make everything worse, especially the play on the field.

Soooo they want to kill their product? A Euro Super League would have the majority of the world class players globally forced to opt out of the World Cup.

Super League would just create an “NFL” of sorts where you stratify the very top as a new league and then you have everyone else. The others would still exist but no one will care outside of the local fans.
Generally, I love the idea of the Super League and watching the worlds best teams play every week. The quality of the competition would be superior...basically Champions League quarters or better at all times.

The allure of the aforementioned Quarters are once it’s that deep in the tournament you usually get teams’ best (players and tactics), and often at the expense of dropped points in league matches. It will not be possible to duplicate that quality from set personnel for a full season of European play. It can only be worse.

Imagine the insanity of what would be a large number of prestigious clubs being mid or bottom table. An endless shuffling of managers trying to settle in and being pushed out, players with massive egos frustrated with losing, supporters of big dogs miserable they won’t be competing for any silverware, it would be a disastrous climate for the teams. No way you get their best.
In addition much of the current competition’s enjoyment aside from quality is in the novelty when teams across leagues with different tactics and styles clash. It’s no different than not wanting to ruin the joy that is the World Cup by playing it annually.

Do people actually support a "super league"? It's a terrible idea that hurts everyone.

I guess you’d think the NFL would be better if, instead of the NFC South, the Saints had to compete first against LSU, Louisiana Tech, ULM, and Brother Martin (in that hypothetical world where they all have the same age players)
We’re going to have a super league because fans are tired of seeing Man City always beat Crystal Palace and Fulham and West Brom with their money advantage. Having prestigious clubs in mid table or bottom is a feature, not a bug.
That or actually enact a salary cap (which would always be high enough anyway to allow teams to compete in Europe) and split the Champions League and Europa money equally.

Now that im done laughing at that absurd post
You really think fans are sick of seeing their club take on the big boys lol. Home matches like that a major revenue for their club bc it sells out with great atmosphere. Big clubs also sell out their away section. Also it probably means they are on major tv, so fans get to watch their club on tv and a lot of times dont get screwed with the 3pm slot in England. Esp if they are away to a big club and can't make the away day but get to watch them on tv. Those away days to big clubs are what fans live for.
You think Bayern fans want to watch their club potentially frick around mid table in a super league?
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
