A great opportunity to hear the facts.
quote:
You've heard the spin from the mainstream media on TEXIT. Now you have an opportunity to hear the real story.
State Representative Kyle Biedermann and Texas Nationalist Movement President Daniel Miller are scheduled to participate in a virtual town hall meeting on TEXIT this Thursday. The hosts have agreed to open the event to the general public.
If you want to hear what's happening with the TEXIT legislation that will give Texans a vote on independence, then register today. If you know others who are interested, be sure to plug them into this event.
The event is on January 21st from 7pm to 8pm. Registration is required, so be sure to click this link to get signed up ASAP: REGISTER HERE

Take Louisiana and we'll teach Texans how to boil crawfish correctly and make a roux

I would be all for it, but I don't think the US would ever allow it to happen. The SC judge I respect most of all in history didn't believe it to be possible:
-Scalia
Now that quote is not from an judgment or official court opinon, but if he felt that way then I'd bet all current judges would rule that way.
So legal succession is effectively impossible. Armed succession also impossible given how many military bases are in Texas. If the USA won't allow it, and Texas tries anyway, they would need those bases to stand with Texas to succeed.

To begin with, the answer is clear. If there was any constitutional issue resolved by the Civil War, it is that there is no right to secede. (Hence, in the Pledge of Allegiance, "one Nation, indivisible.")
Secondly, I find it difficult to envision who the parties to this lawsuit might be. Is the State suing the United States for a declaratory judgment? But the United States cannot be sued without its consent, and it has not consented to this sort of suit.

Many thought the same thing 245 years ago. The British were just too strong to leave.

Imagine the glory of a United States WITHOUT Texas....the stuff that dreams are made of. Alas, won't happen....but it would be glorious.
