I believe the groundwork is being laid to prosecute political dissent.

I believe we are seeing the long term groundwork being laid to prosectue political dissent under the guise of "safety" and "fighting domestic terrorism & white supremacy".
Just this past weekend we saw:
1. AOC saying we need to increase funding to "deradicalize" Trump supporters. I don't know about you but that sounds like Soviet style re-education camps to me.
2. The PA Lt. Governor saying that lies are not protected by the first amendment and therefore lies should be shut down and silenced. OK, so two questions there. First, who decides what is a lie and what is not? Second, does that mean we should shut down and silence everyone who perpetuated the Russian collusion hoax for 3 years?
3. Former Facebook executive saying its concerning that there are YouTube channels and podcasts that reach a higher audience than CNN, and therefore we need to make moves to shut those channels down to "prevent the spread of disinformation". OK, so what criteria is in place for CNN get a pass and these channels/podcasts you speak do not? Who determines what is and isn't disinformation?
It's clear where we are headed. You can get most Americans to go along with anything, no matter how unconstitutional it is, by telling them its for their safety. And they are going to use the "keeping everyone safe" angle to go after political dissidents, first amendment be damned.

I believe you are correct.
from the mouths of 89 post babes as they say
You should have been here when the board was fun, kind of dreary now

The groundwork has been getting laid for some time. It's just entering a new and bolder phase.

Disagreement is violence, silence is violence.
You don't want to be violent, do you?

Welcome aboard the good ship Rightspeak.
Been saying the same thing for a couple of years now.
Very clever of them to have private companies do their censoring though. Makes it more difficult to sue to get your rights back when you are silenced for "hate speech" or "disinformation."

Maybe I read too much, and I’m probably too creative for my own good.
I’ve been reading Baron General Wrangels memoirs of the White Army, and the fight against the Bolsheviks.
Despite the odds he continues to win, and defeat them, but it’s hard reading, because you know how the story ends. And the awfulness that will come.
I am worried about this country. And what comes next.

Pretty soon, they will move on to those that don't parrot The Party Line loudly enough
Not dissenting will no longer be 'safe'

Uhhhh...the groundwork has been being built since the 60s.
This isn't the groundwork, they are nearing completion of the plan. Politicize everything (Critical Race Theory). Gain complete political power utilizing that system (Fraud/Media/Education). Secure that power for as long as possible (Immigration/Fraud/Etc.).

Do you realize a more direct way to punish dissent is to try to stay in office when the people voted you out?

Armed political dissent is intimidation. People who engage in such action are criminals.

This leaves only one option.

The sad thing is our court system has abdicated their responsibility to the Constitution, so prosecuting political dissent could very much become the law of the land.
Don't be surprised when ANTIFA/BLM start blowing up things and killing (their own) people only to have their allies in the media blame Trump supporters.

Isn’t this just another added bonus with communism? The sheeple want it.
Posted on 1/18/21 at 4:31 pm to dclt145
It won't be allowed to happen. These are just a few of the reasons Trump is having to do what he is about to do. He is literally going to have to save this country from going communist.

In his defense, Chicken doesn’t want the site to get Parler’d. And only a week ago, AR15.com got booted by GoDaddy with the infamous “violation” of terms of service” BS.
