FWIW, based on the reports the Saints didn’t even inquire about Stafford

Taysom Hill is the starting QB for the Saints.

He will be a pocket passer and run less often.

CSP has a plan for Hill. The plan should be to keep him healthy for the playoffs.

In a playoff game, let him run like crazy.

Someone else will execute the specialty plays that Hill once had.

Get use to it, Taysom Hill is the starting QB.

Yeah the guy who played through 11 broken ribs, torn rotator cuff, and some torn tendons in his foot didn’t have big enough balls. Got it.

I love how morons like you go on about this but pretend LSU doesn’t do woke shite. You’re just showing your true hand...and it has nothing to do with wokeness. I’d be mad too if I preferred LSU and they’re not anywhere near the most beloved or successful sports team in the state...sad

Slim. But we have more of a shot to get Lance then any other ”top” QB I would say. In most Mock Drafts he’s projected in the early teens.
Saints could definitely trade up if they want but it depends if Payton thinks he’s the guy.

Hard NO on Lance. There is nothing in his film that shows he is an NFL QB. I ignore his running because in the NFL that is down the list of intangibles you want in a QB and NFL defenses are not D3 players.

All his passes are either to wide open receivers or leading downfield throws. Those are a dime a dozen. Not a single clip on tight window or quick decision throws.

DO NOT TAKE LANCE!!

Way too pricy to trade for. I don’t see the Saints having enough assets to get him from the Texans. Granted, we are in cap hell and trading away a bunch of veterans could help to alleviate that, but trading away the draft pics associated with it would hobble this franchise for the foreseeable future.

Hell no. Dudes are like the least clutch qbs I have ever seen.

Prescott

I would love to have him, but I doubt we could afford to pay him. Plus, it looks like Dallas is going to resign him.

Not just no, but HELL no

[quote]Garrapolo T. Heinecke A. Smith

Garrapolo and Smith are coming off debilitating injuries, so they’re basically unknowns. Heinecke has such limited playing time to evaluate him. All of these picks would be ultra-risky, but could be affordable. I just don’t see how any of them could be an upgrade over Taysom or Winston for next year, but I’m open to signing one as a backup to compete for a starting job if they can be had affordably.

Tua

He looked...meh last year, but it was his first season in the NFL and he was coming off of some horrifically bad injuries. I don’t see Miami dishing him out for cheap, but who knows?

quote:

Winston

He has all the measurables, we’ve seen him take over games, he’s thrown for buckets of yards and td’s with a mediocre supporting cast, but can he cut down on turnovers? We didn’t get much of him last year to see. He seems like a great high risk/high reward player if he can be resigned at a reasonable rate.

Hill

He didn’t look terrible, but he didn’t look great either. If he could cut down on the fumbles, he’d be an elite game manager, but in the age of offense, I don’t think that’s enough. He needs to be a better passer to convince me that he’s the franchise qb and not just a gadget player.
