Yes, a great defensive shortstop while at LSU. He was a solid utility player when he made it to the show before settling in at catcher.

Yeah he played SS. He played just about every position for Seattle in 2019, so it shows just how versatile he is. It also shows his perseverance and willingness to do whatever it takes to play on the big stage because I'm sure he hadn't played catcher consistently since he was in Little League

He was the best defensive shortstop in LSU history-- and it isn't even close. He changed games with his amazing plays and he was ultra consistent on top of it.
