Lane Kiffin says Hi

Kiffin got a head coaching job.

If you paid attention, beyond reading the Rant, you would know that was always the deal.

Kiffin was coming to LSU, unless he got a head coaching job. His time with Saban was ending, as they were sick of each other. He was then fired before the season was even over.

Kiffin was willing to take one of the worst jobs in the FBS to avoid taking another coordinator job. I think we all agree he would have come to LSU if he couldn't get an HC job, but the chances of him not getting any HC offers were slim, once we found out the quality of the openings he was entertaining.

Orgeron should have handled that situation better. It does seem like he's handling this one better, since he's at least interviewing other candidates.

Duh, that's all common knowledge but thanks for the lecture. You don't think there's a chance Nielsen ALSO gets a better job offer? That's my point. There is no "agreement" until he signs the contract, no matter how well O knows him.
