Your face is closed to your path for the hook, square to your path for the pull. So you're likely taking it inside with a shut face, then maintaining that relationship. Slicers leave the face wide open to the path.

yep, I had (have) a very handsy swing. When I release the club like your supposed to I hit the ball left. I would hold onto it and could hit it straight

Step one to fixing a slice is having your miss be a hook/pull because at least your closing the club face. Now you just have to fix the club path.
