College football is a ridiculous product for many reasons. But having only a handful of teams out of hundreds even having a chance at winning the Championship is absurd. Also college football is all offense, all spread. Everything is big 12 bullshite. The NFL (the best players and coaches in the world) have teams that run I formation, run the ball etc, like the Browns. College football has turned into 7 on 7 bullshite.

When college has the fans, the bands, the tailgating etc it is better to me

But seeing college without the pageantry, yeh, it cant hold a candle to the NFL

Nothing better than a Saturday with college football from 11 am until midnight, but the nfl's postseason product is definitely better

Kind of my entire point

I dont think many people have ever argued the onfield product of college is better. Of course it isnt

But everything that makes college football in totality makes it more enjoyable for some people, me included.

That mask for the first time was taken off this year and it was jarring to me just how much better the pure nfl product is

I’ve said for a long time that college football has become a watered down product, as well that it is essentially a house of cards.

It really is. I still adore the sport, but it's getting really bad. Next year, it will again be Bama, OSU and Clemson.

Water downed? Nah. Too concentrated. And only in a few flavors.

remember when we all thought all the NFL offenses were the same and the quality of the QBs determined the winner?

What people are missing are the days when Nebraska ran the option, Big Ten ran the I formation, and SEC ran the Wing T

not sure about OSU. Maybe because they're in the Big 10 but they lose a lot. Clemson does too, and that young QB from UNC looks very good.

Which I really don't understand.

If it works at the collegiate level so profoundly, why not run it in the NFL too?

Eh. Day clearly can't replicate what Urban built, particularly when it comes to team speed. tOSU looked slower than almost every SEC team I watched this year.

They'll continue to win the Big 10, but they're falling behind the SEC again.

Very fair point. He was handed the keys to a Ferrari.

Nope, completely disagree. Losing to bama is nothing to be embarrassed about. There's no other sec team this year that could do this to OSU. Stop with the SEC unbeatable nonsense. It's bama and no one else.

I used to dispute this for the last few years but I've slowly been convinced of this.

That said. I do enjoy the pageantry of CFB, going to see unique places, bands, also the school traditions
