The year we missed out on Devota Smith we signed Justin Jefferson. It worked out for both of us.
We put out A LOT of WRs.
Now the question is why in the HELL does Bama have 2 starting linebackers not just from Louisiana, not just from Baton Rouge but literally LSU'S Fricking campus.

Those Luzianner Boys want to win SEC and National Championships.
They also want to be coached and developed by elite assistant coaches that can develop talent.
No chance of that on a consistent basis at LSU.
Yall think Devonta Smith would be this good being coached by Mickey "Nikki Antonio: Joseph?
(Brady maybe, but he long gone)
Smith. Allen. Moses. Surtain. Bolden. Golding. (I'm sure he gets a Charger too, in addition to his DC salary)

who did Miami have from louisiana other than Ed Reed? I know Reggie Wayne went there but he didn't win a title there (graduated the year prior).

We recruit pretty well. Not to the level of Saban and Bama but we have the talent to compete with anyone. What we need to do is figure out how to change the culture and mentality of the team. Players buy in to Bama’s philosophy. Kids are all in with the goal of winning championships. Waddle is 11 weeks removed from a major surgery doing everything he could to be on the field tonight. The players on the field aren’t even thinking about the pros. They are locked in on contributing their part to winning a championship. We can have all the talent in the world but we will never become a dynasty until the kids start buying into being an elite, championship program and not a fast track to the league, which LSU uses as its main selling point. Ed has done a great job at keeping in state talent with the good guys but part of recruiting is keeping the guys bought in to the team.

Chris Fowler helping broadcast all of the Louisiana players on Bama's roster. He doesn't mention where the other players come from just the Louisiana boys.

O would never have the cache to go into Alabama and get multiple potential starters that had Bama or Auburn offers.
