Outlook on Kardell Thomas?

Sorry haven’t seen anything posted on him in a while. How’s he coming along considering the O-Line could really use some bolstering, and he was touted as an elite talent.

We won't know anything about any player until after Spring Practice.
There is a position open for each player, its up to them. Do they want it.

Judging by how bad our OLine was this year and the coaches still thinking it wasn’t worth trying him, I’d say he isn’t very good.
Maybe with a full spring and summer without getting hurt, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

LSU struggled along the OL this year...yet Thomas got barely any snaps. Hines was hurt in the Florida game...Wire took his spot. Then Deculus got hurt in the same game...True Freshman, Martinez, came in at guard with Wire sliding over.
If he didn't see the field in a year where the unit as a whole struggled and injuries/poor play seemed to open up opportunities, then it's hard to see when he gets into the line up.

Maybe he was held out becsuse he was in the doghouse, or due to injury. Hopefully it’s not because he’s not very good.

If he is healthy and gets his weight down then he will be a beast. If not then he won't see the field

Outlook is not promising. He seems like a prime portal candidate

just another Cregg evaluation bust.

Terrible example. Kid had offers from every SEC school, plus programs like Penn State and Florida State. shite on Cregg's eval skill all you want, but Kardell was a take for anyone.

Hopefully it’s not because he’s not very good.
He just overpowered smaller and weaker competition.
Single A ball to the SEC is a big step. He's in way over his head.
The injury was a setback, but I don't think it made that much difference in the end.
He also pissed off O with his public comments as well.
Dude will never see the field here.
I'm surprised he hasn't entered the Time Portal by now.

Nope me either. Look I hope the young man can prove us all wrong but I think that ship has sailed. Either you have it or you don't and as of right now, unless Thomas physically changes his body he will always be top heavy.
And what I mean by this is he is extremely top heavy with a much smaller lower body.

I missed those. What did he say?

Are we really not going to give the kid somewhat of a break? He got injured that kept him out most of last year, didnt have a real spring practice, didn't have a true Fall Camp. How about we give the kid a chance to trust his healed injury and get himself into shape and then we can call him a bust.
Christ you people would eat your own kids if you thought it would get you somewhere.

Exactly. They all probably talked the same shite about Shelvin. Sometimes guys get their act together and turn into good or even better players. Let’s see if he can do something this off-season. If not, then there’s real reason for concern.

Basically from what I've read on here- He's done. He's too damn fat to play.
Let me give you a bit of perspective. I was probably as big as Kardell with less muscle. I decided one day that I was done being a piece of shite. I went on a strict diet for 3 months. after I lost around 30-40 pounds I started jogging 2 miles every night (they might have been 15 minute miles but damnit I did every foot). Didn't matter if it was raining or 100 degrees I did those two miles whilst staying on my diet. Then I started working out. 4 months later I was down 60 pounds. 3 months later I was down 90.
This is just me doing this by myself with no help from anyone else. Working a shitty manual labor job on top of that.
If I can do it and he hasn't yet, it won't happen while he is at LSU. He has EVERYONE in his corner in every possible way. He's so big that losing 30 pounds would be one of the easiest things he's ever done

Read the tea leaves bro. By now re: him, they're yelling at you. Odds are he's off the team come spring.

One of the real positives about Kardell coming in was the work he put in to get better. The injury was a major setback, and I would be he had a bit of a pity party missing out on being on the field during last year's magical run. This season was a time for him to get his head straight and get back to work. I'm looking forward to seeing how he looks by end of summer before next season starts. He could have a significant impact if he's able to work himself back into shape and get on the field.

Agree...
Most likely not fully healed from injury
