Inspired by the cameo thread, how many allusions can you come up with.

Schindler's list - Judge Reinhold episode
OJ Simpson trial - bra doesnt fit on Sue Ellen
OJ Simpson car chase - Kramer and Gendason car chase
Joe Friday on Dragnet - Mr.Bookman
King Solomon - Newman's verdict to cut the bike into two halves

apocalypse now is referenced in "the chicken roaster" when elaine needs to get j. peterman to approve of her sable hat purchase.

platoon is vaguely alluded to in "the fatigues" when frank constanza is recalling his experience as a chef in the US army in korea. complete with a song very similar to the famous barber "quartet with strings" music...

more obscurely, references to former big band drummer buddy rich's infamous temper have been replicated in lines such as "If I have to tell you again, we're gonna take it outside and I'm gonna show you what it's like!" (george in "the opposite) and "This guy - this is not my kind of guy" (frank in "the understudy").

last one: there are strong references to "the graduate" in the episode "the millenium" whenever jerry is battling to stay on his girlfriend's speed-dial against her step-mother....

Godfather references in "the MOyle" episode.

Hindenburg explosion referenced on the episode when Newman is driving the mail truck at night and he runs over the junk Kramer left in the road and the truck goes up in flames--Newman cries, Oh, the humanity!

If this is the one that had the "Zapruder Film" recap where they assumed Keith Hernandez had spit on Kramer... awesome. One of my very favorites.

Many Superman allusions, most notably in the Bizarro World episode with Kevin, Gene, Feldman and Vargas.

Have you listened to the clips of Rich that Seinfeld and David got those lines from? Pretty hilarious. The guy was a raging a-hole.

When Jerry and George plan the "switch" over coffee there is a vaguely familiar suspense music in the background. I wonder if that alludes to something.

The whole middle of that episode is just supposed to be a hat tip to 1950's Hollywood, IMO. Particularly the scene were Newman picks up Mrs. Kramer out on the street corner.

Actually I'd say the most notable Superman allusion was the episode where Jerry raced his old classmate. Girlfriend named Lois (which he couldn't get enough of saying), the Superman theme playing the entire length of the final race, etc.

Top of the Muffin episode - werewolf allusion. Hair growing back on Jerry's shaved chest, starting to itch while on Cramer's reality tour, full moon, runs off into the night, wolf howls in the background.
