I'd take him

quote:If he was that, he would be going pro. He was bad last year. Likely undrafted after the season he had, hence the transfer.
He’s also a top 50 pick. GET THAT MAN NOW

thought this guy would be going Pro??

This is kind of a bizarre transfer. Why wouldn't he just go pro? I would've thought he was going pro anyway--let alone given that he doesn't want to be at auburn anymore. Strange.

I had debate about him yesterday, he’s always regarded as so good, top level talent. And I argued that he’d start, but my buddy brought up a good point-Andre Anyhony(put weaker DE compared to Gaye) had 5.5 sacks just this year. Bryant has only 9.5 in 4 years of playing! If he’s that good why doesn’t he go to the draft!

Go get him!
I'm pretty sure we only have 5 or 6 DT's on the roster (right now) for next season -
Logan - SR
Farrell - SR
Roy
Guillory
E. Taylor
M. Smith - Freshman

Not trying to change the tune on the guy but he hasn't exactly been great the last few years. That's probably why he isn't going pro.
He has 7 sacks the last 3 years combined. No more than 3 in any 1 year. This is as a sophomore, junior, senior by class and having 400+ snaps each of those seasons. He had average PFF defensive grade in 2018 and 2019 and this past year plummeted down to one of Auburn's lowest graded players on defense with a 46.8 overall grade. Tells you all you need to know why he didnt declare yet.

Looking for a fresh start elsewhere because Kevin Steele wasn’t retained. He’s also looking for a fresh start to improve as a player. He hasn’t been good. He wasn’t even good when Marlon Davidson and Derrick Brown were drawing all the attention.

Should have been here straight out of high school, but whatever. Hope he can come play for the good guys!
I posted about the reason when it happened. He was very very very close to going to LSU. He wanted to stay closer to home. my son was one of his HS teachers. He is a good kid and was injured this past season. I don't think he graduated so he may not count as a grad transfer since this season was a wash.

I didn’t list him. Like I said, we only have 5 or 6 DTs on the roster as of today.

It would be nice but not completely necessary.
Little street ball would be interesting.
