1. Pass happy offense despite running plays being very effective when run
2. Unnecessary trick plays that don’t work or backfire
3. Allowing inferior team to hang around and develop momentum
4. Special teams miscues
5. All the wrong 4th down decisions
6. Inexplicable absence of key elements that were there all season (e.g screen play, blitz packages,
7. Questionable challenges, Poor use of timeouts
8. Late game defensive collapse

We’ve hit on half of these thus far..let’s see how it plays out.

I hate him so much. Wish we’d trade him for first rounders

We haven’t run a single trick play.

No. This is just what many of us have believed would happen all year. We’re still extremely limited in our ability to attack on offense against a playoff defense.

We can’t stretch the field and teams are allowed to play more aggressively on D.

It’s pretty sad how they are doing this again. Hope they step at the half.

And we are seeing the downside of his shitty challenges and poor timeout usage. We could have a minute to work with except for using a timeout on first down after a change of possession.

Does any other professional sports team regularly choke in the playoffs like the Saints ? NBA, MLB, NFL ???

One could argue having Taysom attempt to pass the ball is a trick play

Yes.
Brees can not stretch the field but the complaints about Payton especially in the playoffs are true as well.

Run the ball.

Payton likes finesse and is horrible with timeouts.

Sean Payton’s gameday management ineptness doesn’t not get enough scrutiny.
