Is the SEC the only conference that stops schools from hiring coaches?

The whole Bo Davis and Freeze thing has me seriously confused.
Does the same thing happen at Pac 12, Big 10 or ACC I have never heard of something similar.
Why does the SEC do this or is it pure speculation on our part that those coaches can't coach in the conference again?

It's not speculation that the SEC told Saban he couldn't hire Freeze a couple of years back. That happened. But I they have supposedly said SEC schools can hire him now. I guess enough time has passed for him.

Freeze
It would be shite for him to be hired as a HC while the team he formerly coached still had sanctions on them.
Similar to Butch smoking cigars after Bama destroyed the team he put together. Its like wtf

The NCAA kept Bo Davis' "bump rule" violation case open for over a year before issuing a two year show cause. No school anywhere could hire him.

The SEC has no authority to veto the hire of any coaches by any SEC school. This is one of those internet myths that has taken on a life of its own. At most, the commissioner can call a school and caution them against a particular hire, but that's it, persuasion only.
