Watched it and thought it was great. After the reveal of the mole, they showed the viewer how clues were imbedded in each episode as to the mole's identity. The clues were so complex that Sherlock Holmes would have never figured it out. I remember one clue was a shot of the night sky, which contained a certain constellation and that constellation had some vague connection to the the mole's occupation. The thought that someone in America could have solved the riddle because of a 2 second shot of a night sky in an hour long episode...

The internet wasn’t quite as far reaching and mainstream for these kinds of things back then. Someone on Reddit would’ve probably cracked that in 2 seconds if they did it today

The guy who probably committed the anthrax mailings in 2001 was obsessed with the chick who was the 1st mole and wanted to murder her.

Yeah, I remember watching it as a kid, but all I remember is Anderson Cooper. I don't even remember how the mole was revealed.
Yeah I was shocked seeing him on CNN when I grew older. Thought The Mole was the only thing he did. Come to find out he’s a news anchor

Joe Millionaire was good but Joe Schmo was gold! Especially the first season.

Age of Love where a 30 year old guy (former tennis pro Mark Phillipoussis) had to pick a mate from a group of 40+ women ("Cougars") and 20-somethings ("Kittens").
How I got sucked into this show I have no idea, but I watched it to the conclusion.

Temptation Island was around that same early 2000’s
The king of slut reality TV.
Fox really went all in on raunchy conceptual reality shows in this era, and it paid off huge for them. Remember Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?
Darva Conger, the winner of the show, got a Playboy spread out of it and actually married the dude, then divorced him. Those shows used to be cultural events and had like 20-30 million viewers. They were as big as American Idol.
Fox also first brought The Kardashians to TV on The Kings of Malibu with Btody Jenner and Spencer Pratt.
I say bring back Fox Reality Channel!

Anybody remember There's Something About Miriam? Bachelorette type show where the chick ended up being a tranny. I think it was British or Australian in the early 2000s

I remember it really well.
It came out in 2001. I had just gotten my first Tivo for Christmas 2000. (It recorded 25 hours of really poor quality 12 or so of less crappy quality, or 8 hours of almost good quality if I remember correctly. I was the first person I know to own a DVR)
Anyway, we watched it with my kids, and really enjoyed it, so we set up a "season's pass" to record the episodes.
It got cancelled without a resolution. A little while later - maybe it was the later the same year - they aired the last few episodes of that first season.
Despite what others remember, the Mole that first season was a man - a retired Navy admiral.

That was Season 2. Season 1 was the young woman so I guess they went totally opposite for the second season. It seemed like a great reality show because they traveled to some great locations at a leisurely pace.
Another favorite reality show of mine from that era was Boot Camp. It was like Survivor but set in a military base. CBS even sued them because they had a weekly vote/elimination and CBS said that was too much like Survivor. I think the winner was a likeable guy named Lemon.
