Which natty was your favorite?

Since yesterday was the 03 anniversary it got me thinking about LSU’s national championships.
I was too young to go to the 03 game, but went in 07 and 19. I was also there in 2011 (junior at LSU)- it sucked.
For me:
2019- Was just a magical ride to get there and the game felt intense for the first three quarters. I do not think I have ever wanted to win a game as bad as this one. When Chase scored in the 1st quarter it was deafening in the dome. When burrow took the last knee and the fireworks started I feared up. I had such a bad taste from 2011 that was erased. I remember leaving the dome and looking and the purple and gold lights through the fog and thinking that nothing will ever too that game or season.
2007- When Chris Wells broke off that long run I thought we were in serious trouble. Then LSU exploded for 21 points in the second. I think it was the 4th quarter when Boeckman was strip sacked and the dome went bonkers. I enjoyed it, but I do not think I truly appreciated it.
2003- I was too young to remember LSU being “bad”. I was 13 for this game and just remember how excited everyone was but did not comprehend how much it meant. To me as a kid, Saban was our coach, and I knew nothing before him. I remember the final punt felt like it took three years to hit the ground.
1958- My old man wasn’t even born yet.
For those that went to all 4 recent title games, which was the loudest? Which play was the wildest? I hear the the Justin Vincent run and the Spears pick six were wild. I would say Boeckman‘a fumble and either Chase’s first touchdown or Lawrence’s fumble were it for me.

For those 40 and up, I would think this was the best one. At least it was for me despite going 15-0 last year. Something about winning your first title since 1958 and being 22 years old is hard to beat.
Only blemish in 03 was an unknown FR QB, Chris Leak beating LSU in Tiger Stadium.

03 for me. I was a young Tiger fanatic who started watching LSU football religiously around 2000, so it was literally the best time for a kid to grow up as an LSU fan.

2007 because it was such a roller coaster season, so much had to go our way and it did! It is also the only championship game I attended so it’ll always be tops for me.

Fortunate to be in the dome for all four...
—the Vincent 1st play was loud as hell, though the Skyler end around was up there with the Lionel sack to end it
—The RJF FG block was the first sign of life in ‘07, and all those TD’s sort of blended together. The Harry Coleman fumble recovery was the coronation play
—the 2012 game was awful, even if we were still in it early in the 4th...I’ll stop there
—Even as an ‘04 grad, 2019 was perfect. I called the Burrow spread em out sneak from the 600’s, and that QB sneak before half & Moss TD got the dome jacked

Last year was obviously fun but 07 was most memorable for me. I remember walking out of tiger stadium after the 3ot loss to Arkansas after freezing the entire game so mad. Then going home and telling my friends that if several teams lost we would be back in it. Then those things happening and being in the funny bone cheering against Missouri and West Virginia while a comedian was on stage. Then going nuts during the selection show saying we were back in the championship. Great year

This is hard to choose, but for me it would clearly have to be 2003 or 2019.
If you want end-to-end dominance, with an attractive offense and sweeping up many of the individual player awards, clearly 2019 is the preference.
If you want suffocating defense with great suspense all along the way, combined with the excitement of a first national championship in a LONG time, clearly 2003 is the preference.
I'd lean towards 2003, simply for the suspense factor. We entered the season not even really thinking about the national championship possibilities (SEC? Yes. National title? No.). We survived an early slugfest with UGa, then a hard-fought win in Oxford (I was at that game), and we had to sweat out whether or not we'd even make the cut for the BCSCG. And, the BCSCG game was tight the entire time.

2003-I was in the Georgia dome for the SEC championship and in the dome for the natty. When Spears intercepted the pass and returned it for 6, the roof came off the dome. That same year when Skyler Green caught the touchdown in the end zone to beat Georgia. Loudest game I’ve ever been to. It was like the fans in Tiger Stadium willed our team to victory. Unreal!

Last year. There was no doubt.
2003/4 was amazing but the way the media pumped usc as co national champion definitely took a little of the shine off for me. I will say that ride was maybe the most fun though as it was all new. Kinda like how winning the 2001 sec title against Tennessee was probably my favorite game even though it meant less.
2007/8 was just kinda gimmicky with all the shite that happened to get us there.
Last year was so unbelievably satisfying going through everyone like a buzz saw.

2003 was pretty special. More than a few grown men including me teared up after the win. I was 40 and wondered if I was ever going to see my Tigers win a NC.

2019 because it was just a great season and the only time in my LSU fan life that I went into every game that season knowing without a doubt LSU was going to find a way to win it.
I also enjoyed the fact that it seemed almost all LSU fans realized what we were witnessing and everyone just enjoyed the moment. That is very rare in sports period.
