Taylor was one of those dumb arse hires teams often do “well he worked for McCvay who was successful early on. So we should expect the same results “

But it’s based off a report by Florio. There’s a 67% chance it’s false coming from Florio.

However, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, the sense around the league is that Taylor’s job is not safe.

Florio says that Taylor is not seen as being as safe as the report indicates, and there is a rumor that the Bengals could fire their coach. There is some sense that the Bengals might want to reunite quarterback Joe Burrow with Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who helped turn Burrow into a star at LSU. The Bengals may need to move quickly if they want to get Brady, as he may attract head coaching interest from elsewhere.

The Bengals have historically been reluctant to fire coaches they would still have to pay, which would be the case with Taylor and may work in his favor.

Taylor hasn’t really done much in his two seasons, though the Bengals are in the midst of a rebuild. Losing his star rookie to a serious injury isn’t strictly Taylor’s fault, though the team did little to protect him from some brutal hits. Ultimately, it seems this is a situation worth watching.

First of all, the dude wasn’t the offensive coordinator at lsu ......
so there’s that fact proven wrong. And what has he done to prove himself at Carolina? This is hysterical

He may get a HC job this year, but it won’t be with the bengals. They are bringing back Taylor

The guy knows offense.

They do go overboard on the joe brady love but he will be a head coach in short order.

Doubt they fire Taylor, but if they do just hire Brady. Let Burrow work with his man

Burrow has been a big supporter of Taylor as well behind the scenes

“ Working against Taylor is the possibility of reuniting Burrow with former LSU offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who currently serves as offensive coordinator in Carolina.”

Maybe it’s you who needs to go back to sleep

If at this point you don’t realize Brady was the actual OC last year then you’re beyond help.

Do you think LSU was preparing to give him a massive extension to be second fiddle to Steve ? Do you think he became one of the highest paid OCs in the NFL for no reason ? Did Steve suddenly for one season only become one of the most innovative offensive minds in football ?

Wake the frick up

I think it will all play out and then many people will be realizing the actual truth rather than what they want to believe because a first round heisman QB and his FOURTEEN first round teammates fell into Brady’s lap after he was nothing more than an analyst at any of the stops before he became pgc and that would make anyone look good. I’m sure that had nothing to do with it

They want to believe Slinger was the guy despite an entire career of ineptitude to tell you he wasn’t the brains behind last years offense

“Seeee Brady isn’t going great in the NFL! It was Steve all along”

Oh yeah...how many NFL job offerings did Steve have? Who just got coaxed into retirement by his best bud?
