Most of the increases in cases are from family gatherings indoors.

If everyone is masking up outside of their family groups, why would that matter? (Assuming masks do “work”)

Masks are useless, virus gonna virus and all lockdowns do is delay the inevitable

It takes a true simpleton to distill a complex multifactorial issue into a A or B scenario.

Where are the ‘hot spots’ in Alabama?

I went to Foley last weekend and most people have the mask on to enter a store and then take them off.
Although there were tons of employees in the stores that did not wear them either. Mostly the older people were wearing them.

Masks are hard to find outside of Jefferson County, AL.

Wrong dumbass. It takes a feeble minded sheep to take a simple A or B scenario and turn it into an overly complicated multi factorial issue. You believe what you believe not because you use things like logic, reason, and independent thought. Instead you mindlessly believe whatever the TV tells you is true. You couldn’t form an indecent thought if your life depended upon it.

Jesus christ.

I don't even watch the news. I work in healthcare in a ICU.

But you're right, I'm sure what you and your biker buddies came up with is no doubt far more wise.

Even in Hattiesburg maybe 1 in 5 had one on. Almost none in rural MS and AL.

It's not all that different here. The little suburb I grew up in doesn't have much mask wearing other than at Walmart

Red Lobster

What part of Alabama are you in? Either way, you should be ashamed of yourself for eating here, but the further south you are the more ashamed you should be,

OP believes his one day personal sample size is an accurate case study for the previous nine months. It's a special kind of stupid.

I agree. I don’t see how Red Lobster stays in business.

Anyone in Louisiana should be ashamed to go to Red Lobster.

Well, considering the go-to line for Alabama Covidiots is, "No one is actually wearing their masks...reeeeee!!!!", his is pretty good anecdotal evidence.

Don't get me wrong, I think the piece of underwear we are wearing on our faces is rather ridiculous. Maybe if we all had N95 masks on it would be somewhat effective but that's not what's happening. It's a feel good measure for the most part.

Strange, mask wearing is still pretty prevalent in most all the places I've been recently. The main exception being gas stations.

No shite. People observing hobby lobby and sonic and no one wants to recognize that they aren't wearing masks in private settings.

I don't wear a mask unless the business requires me to, but I don't have my head in the sand to the fact that I have been around 50+ people this week without wearing a mask.
