Starving street merchants in the French Quarter break into at least 48 cars this morning

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating dozens of vehicle burglaries that happened Monday morning in Tremé.
According to police, at least 48 vehicle burglaries happened in the area of the 1800 block Dumaine Street, St. Philip and Ursuline streets.

Police say the burglaries are believed to have occurred around 5 a.m.
The New Orleans Police Department is investigating dozens of vehicle burglaries that happened Monday morning in Tremé.

I figured those citizens of NOLA would be paying for a rather astute and fast acting law enforcement division, especially when it came to such random issues as a collapsed building with multiple worker corpses trapped within. Otherwise, what are you NOLA residents paying for with your rather high tax rate?

We are paying for things like Mardi Gras and other social events that freeloaders from other parishes come in to take advantage of.
Like entertainment socialism.
Also so neighboring residents can claim they are from New Orleans when they travel to far flung places like Cozumel or the Dominican Republic.
