Hope we get him but the fact that we have to battle with FSU for anything considering the status of their program is alarming. We really have to recruit the big boys better going forward. They have to be foundation we build classes on.

Here’s the difference. He not only lives close to FSU, but he’s been a priority for them longer. We are late to the party, and that means you are making up ground on the relationship end. That is even more difficult in a year where travel is such an issue and face to face meetings are all but impossible.

The fact that we are a serious contender means that our program’s clout is greater than theirs in Kimo and his family’s mind. If we weren’t offering something they were very interested in, they would have dismissed our late overtures pretty quickly.

Wht about Moko? Backup plan for Leigh or do we take him too

I look at Moko and think, “mother of god.” He has 4 to play 4 too. If you have a need, not sure why you don’t take him.

A one year rental from an Ivy League is a lot to ask. The last one is passable at best, below average if we’re being honest.

I agree If my choice I’m taking Moko and Wilson with Leigh and BTJ if they want in. You can always move a tackle inside to guard until he’s ready to play outside

Shanahan is coming back so not a one-year rental.

There’s a lot of good OL talent at the Ivey League schools. Wilson is from Minn too where there’s a bunch of big under the radar farm boys. NDSU makes a living there.

Moko is a beast, 6'5" 335lbs of solid muscle, and he moves like an athlete as well.. The kid is only 19, I dont care what Leigh does, we go after Moko hard regardless.

This kid could end up being a beast of an O-Lineman, too good not to take a chance on him.

Moko is down to LSU, Oregon and A&M.

Solid group. He’s the real thing.

The OT isn’t going to get a free year because of Covid like Shanahan.

He’s more of an NFL prospect than Shanahan, so probably would only get one year regardless.

His tape looks awesome, but he's been an FSU commit for a long time. We could definitely use him for sure!

JoJo Earle was an LSU commit for a long time too and we all saw how that turned out.

Kimo isn’t some lifelong FSU fan

I’m not saying he is. I’m just saying that Florida kids are no different than Georgia kids, Texas kids or Louisiana kids and that Florida kids choosing to leave the state is more often because of lack of opportunities than it is a lack of loyalty.

I just read where Ala has signed the #1 and #2 OT in the country, plus another OG, again, #1 in the country. I don't know all their signees, but I know LSU will never compete year in and year out signing an occasional 4 star and mostly 3 star OL like this guy Gregg does every year.

I really don’t think Leigh is coming to LSU so you go all in on Moko since he has 4 to play 4 and Kimo who looks like he can be the athletic interior OL type we need instead of the overweight maulers like Kardell and Bradford. Then you make the call on Wilson since he’s only got one year to play. If Leigh is looking like a long shot which I think he is you take him but you still need 2 OL to go with Dellinger that can have 3-4 years of eligibility.

obviously everyone would be pretty stoked to get kimo, leigh and a grad transfer OL. those 3 and BTJ as another weapon would be best case scenario IMO.
