AEW’s Mr. Brodie Lee died

Wow. Reports saying he died from an illness. I guess this was the reason for being off of tv for a while, not just the ankle injury.

I think the last match I saw him in was the strap match against Cody. Was that his last one?
I hate it for his family and the AEW roster just took a hit. Brodie was putting together some damn good matches and storylines.

Yeah that was his last time on TV was that strap match where he lost the TNT Championship back to Cody
I was looking forward to his return and the story being he'd wreck shop after seeing what the Dark Order had become during his absence

I didn’t hear that he was officially out I just assumed he was nursing an injury or they were letting that storyline build for him to return.

It was known he was out with some kind of issue... ankle was the 1st story but then it became obvious something more was going on
The storyline I put up a few posts ago was me just fantasy booking based off what was going on, esp on BTE
But AEW has proven it has the ability to adapt so I'm sure they'll do something good with the Dark Order

The official story was that he had an ankle injury, which may have also been true. Tony Khan hinted something else was going on but wouldn't say more. This is quite the loss for AEW.
Maybe Hangman will take over Dark Order now or maybe they'll just continue being a group of comedy jobbers with Evil Uno as the sort of leader like before Brodie came in.
