Los Angeles pilot finally captures elusive 'jetpack man' on video

There used to be an old redneck baw who had a go cart rigged to a parachute thing and would fly around CenLa, but it was only like 100-200 feet up. I can't imagine 3,000 feet in a jetpack.

Yeh thats the one. there could have been multiple guys doing it, but I grew up about an hour south of Monroe and I know a buddy in Alex has told me before they'd seen something similar he probably flew all around the central/northeast La area. Redneck ingenuity at its finest
He used to completely pause our little league baseball games by circling the field for a few minutes. Edit: THe company that makes them, I guess he didn't rig that thing up after all
Damn I always wanted to imagine that he was some mad redneck scientist concocting flying go karts in his shed all night.

I bet it was the same guy. I'm not sure how far they can fly but I wouldn't be surprised because that area from 190 to Rapides/LaSalle/Catahoula/Caldwell/Ouichita parishes aren't all that far as the crow flies, or in this case the go kart flies.

I hate to be that guy but feds need to find out who this is and shut them down. LA airspace way too crowded as is and this person is an accident waiting to happen. Highly unlikely you can see this thing on radar too.
