None of these mock drafts have Smith going first:

Devonta Smith has the edge I believe because Jamarr Chase opted out this year. Chase is more physical, but Harris runs the best pass routes in college football, and I think it gives him an edge. Out of sight, out of mind, but these are the two best receivers coming out.

Some of you need to get out of you feelings. Chase didn't stop being the best WR in the country. I wish he did play, but that's his decision. If he did play and got hurt, not one of you fools would have given him a check to make up for lost millions. He will go first.

Just the fact that Smith played this year makes a huge difference in the NFL’S mind...... Chase was amazing LAST YEAR. Smith has been dominate THIS YEAR.... plus he got even better after Waddle went out......

Of course Smith improved his stock this year.

That’s why he came back.

But Chase was a first rounder last year. Possible WR1. He didn’t get worse.

No one is arguing Leatherwood is going ahead of Sewell.

Chase is the better WR.

I think we all underestimate how much risk would be associated from Chase’s perspective if he played when he was almost guaranteed a top 5 draft pick. That is a lot of pressure for someone so young to handle and I really don’t blame him for wanting to guarantee his future. I don’t like the fact that he quit but it doesn’t make him worse then Smith IMO

I know a lot of fans want to see that be the determining factor in his success or lack thereof, but it will not play a part in it. His 40-time and physical fitness will play the largest role and he will have to attend and perform at the combine. If he gives them the semblance of looking like the player that did play in 2019, he will be a high draft pick. He's bigger, stronger, breaks tackles and can get YAC.

No matter how many of these dumbass petty threads yall make, Chase is still the better WR out of every college guy you throw in there.

Chase may actually be faster than most people think:

Smith goes first...chase right after him because he sat out...but he has nothing to prove they know how good he is

If Devonta was a top ten pick without playing this season he would have gone to the NFL draft last year.

Anyone who disagrees can tell me why.

Who cares!! He stayed and our guy quit on THE WHOLE SEASON. Smith also is about to win a Heisman, go undefeated, win a Natty, and MAKE SURE he is a top 10 pick. Kudo's to him and I also respect Bama more because they had other first round talent come back (Najee Harris and Leatherwood). And we have players leave to get drafted in late rounds or not even drafted at all, which is totally absurd and mind boggling.

Chase can't say that and he pussied out and I hope Devonta goes first, which may also show other kids who think they are the best not to opt out and quit on their team and a chance to have a better overall season, and make sure they get drafted where they deserve.

The move Marshall pulled was really strange by really quitting on his team after he did not opt out due to Covid, then he opted out/quit with a few games left.

I think both WR's Chase & Smith are equal talent. Smith made some great catches this year especially that one hander against us in the back of the endzone. He also returned punts very effectively which is why he is in the Heisman running.

Chase. The NFL doesn’t care about college fans feelings about a player opting out. They’ll look at the raw talent and ceiling and choose the best player. It’s not like there’s off field issues for chase, that would be a scouts concern.

This is what I also say when these salty threads are made. It's why fans are fans and why GMs are paid millions to make million dollar decisions. Of course you have some dumbass GMs that skip over obviously better players like the Eagles GM.

Chase was the best WR prospect last year and this year, and that's saying something considering Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb (BTW he's also a Louisiana boy).

Smith is elite in his own right, but I never thought he looked better than Jefferson, and he damn sure isn't Chase, and is not the NFL WR prospect that a healthy Waddle is either.

A lot of these fools think with their heart and not their head when it comes to this stuff.
