Please don't compare anything with Toonces. I'd take the Fleur D'lis over anything Toonces.

What's wrong with it? I think it's an awesome representation of our culture and team. What other team in the country could use this? Answer is Nobody. It's unique, yet traditional in a sense.

I think I saw an LSU hat with that logo on the front. I haven't seen too much else with it besides bumper stickers.

I won't argue whether or not it is a fad, but I think people associate the Fleur de lis with NOLA only. I think people forget that Baton Rouge was founded by the French long before New Orleans was founded. The Fleur de lis is simply a remnant of our (Louisiana) history.
If a fad, I don't think that I would throw it in the same category as purple & gold Crocs or pink LSU gear
