Please help settle this... LSU v ULL football

I’m arguing with a friend. I won’t tell you which side I’m on. Please take off your purple lens glasses for a moment. Also realize LSU is 22-0 against ULL lifetime. If LSU played ULL today, what would be the spread/who is favored.

After beating UF and OM, I would guess LSU would be favored by 12-14.
Before beating those two, I would guess LSU would be favored by 7-10.

I have seen where ULL would have been favored by 7 several weeks ago. Maybe with an improving LSU team the starting bet line would be closer but I personally wouldn’t want to see LSU play ULL this year.

We were a 1 point dog to a 4 win Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium. ULL is ranked with a win over a team currently in the top 10, they would be favored in any scenario.

Talent gap is major. Coaching gap isn’t.
Talent > Coaching
LSU 49
Cajuns 24
Talent > Coaching
LSU 49
Cajuns 24

Depends on if they played in Tiger Stadium or St Thomas More Stadium where the Cajuns play.

I was thinking overall talent as well. A friend of mine is arguing because they are ranked higher that they are better. I still don’t see it that way. I don’t think a team that lost to coastal could be even a down and out LSU. We’ve got beat buy a coupe scrub teams over the past 5 years but they’ve been some rough one offs.

Then ask your friend why Clemson was heavily favored against ND, despite being lower ranked.
Rankings don't have a damn thing to do with the spreads, or even who the better team is. They are a reflection of the teams having better seasons. ULL had a much better season than LSU, but they are nowhere near the football team.
Could LSU mess around and get knocked off by a ULL? Absolutely. But it would be an upset.

Little bro ULL about to loose their coach to a better program. Even he knows Lafayette is a pathway, and not a destination.
Enough said.

Pick ‘em.
LSU’s defense was essentially non-existent & the intangibles would be way in the favor of UL-L. This would be the most monumental game in their history due to the fact they would finally have a legitimate shot at beating LSU.

Glad you were able to get that off your chest, but that's not what the OP asked.

Hilarious reading this shite. This is how the books make a killing

This is not only my opinion. Jordy Cullotta & T-Bob called this a few weeks back. I didn’t say who I would pick, I just agreed with some who say the game would be a pick-em on a betting line.

Oh. I’m sorry. I thought it was obvious that ULL doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same paragraph as LSU because they’re just so underwhelming unimportant.
Really, They’re not even 1/2 Tulane or 1/4 Vandy quality. Their relationship to LSU is as a rent a victory, warmup home game, without reciprocity for the Cajuns.
Anything else is Lafayette delusions of grandeur.
Hope that clarified this for you.

I think T-Bob looked it up mid season and ULL would have been favored.

It took me awhile but here are the only 2 paragraphs I could find that had LSU and ULL mentioned so you might be on to something.
