Dude that's so depressing to see at OsU because their Oline coach is Stud all of those years.
That’s why LSU needs to overhaul the entire OL strategy (who they are targeting, how they are evaluating, how they develop and how they process the misses).
And to the people that say “louisiana does t produce OL”, so Fkn what! LSU is a national brand and go look at OSU, A1abana, Clemson, UGA, Oklahoma. Those schools pull 5-4 star OL from all over the country. But LSU can’t?? Fk that excuse

They don’t like Cregg. Not a very social guy & personality doesn’t gel well with most of these kids

Creggs does not have a proven record of developing young talent at the college level. He is extremely overrated and reminds me the OL coach equivalent of Crowton.
He can come in and polish players with experience that are already developed, but without that, his lines will be bad.
I don't care about his rings. At USC he had 3 OL drafted:
2011 - Tyron Smith who he coached one year and was ALL-PAC 12 honorable mention the year before Creggs.
2012 - Matt Khalil coached by Creggs in his 3rd year.
He had 2 centers go later with one being a major bust in Marcus Martin off the bat.
Again, he did not develop a single OL from scratch in college.
He's not a bad coach, he simply is not the one you want developing a raw OL in college. He's the guy you bring in at the end to polish them up (see 2019 OL).
That is what turns off players is my guess.

Cregg isn’t the only variable. We used to kill it at OL before we were DBU. We haven’t consistently hauled OL under multiple coaching staffs.

I would suggest a bunch of former OL Tigers start significant summer camps with In State six graders and beyond and begin developing Offensive Linemen in earnest. Do whatever it takes to grow these young men early and develop them often. Make it a total contrast to seven on seven. It needs to happen. Think like Dale Brown did waaay back when as he hung purple and gold nets all over the state. It planted seeds for desire. Its going to take that sort of effort to get the OL talent developed so we have four or five 4+ star Offensive Linemen available EVERY year within the borders of Louisiana.

Honestly we should be looking for a replacement tomorrow. The OL is a somewhat veteran group and cant figure out who to block in regards to stunts and blitzes. Just hire a guy that can recruit and can teach guys not to let guys run by them while they are blocking air.

And don’t go out and get an IVY league center expecting him to handle SEC defensive linemen!!

We can’t keep converting defensive linemen to offense
LOL. This didn't happen.
Hines and Rosenthall were always OL recruits. The staff may have entertained their desires to try the DL but that was never going to stick.

Time to bring Kevin Mawae home!

It's not just Cregg. They commit to the team and university. LSU loaded the competition up with buck shot to shoot and spread negativity and doubt on the future of this staff and program. Leigh was close to a lock at one point and seems to be an L at this point. Getting Leigh and Dellinger in this class while keeping our juniors here for another year would've put us in pretty good shape.

We handled UGA lines pretty well last couple of years. bamas last year. It wasn't exactly blue chip those years. With those 3 stars we won a New Years 6 bowl and a Natty. Y'all need to calm down. Trust the guy who got you there. We ridin baws!!
