I'll be honest, I'm leaning toward being more independent than anything because you're right. It's difficult to identify with a group of people who spend more time regurgitating Facebook memes than actually reading and seeking impartial knowledge on the matters of the day.

I'll tell you what...my wife is in the "1A" priority and I happen to be in the "1B". We will both be getting the vaccine and relatively soon. All of the doctors and NPs she works with will also be getting it. I will be more than happy to document the process for you if you can commit yourself to actually looking at and fully digesting the information with an open mind. How's that?

So you're in the medical field and it is "highly recommended" that you receive the vaccine, that's fair. Again, I will take the vaccine but I will be at the back of the line.

This is so fricking disappointing to me today we what conservatives have become

I used to be proud to be the party of actual real science. Conservatives know there is only two biological sexes, they know global warming is ridiculous, and they always believed in medicine and vaccinations

Now, they are complete fricking clowns

Why?
It’s a virus that isn’t that deadly
I don’t get a flu shot yearly, i don’t need this

I have folks on both sides of the aisle showing up in my feed and they all share idiotic memes. It's a hell of a lot more work to be "independent" since it requires an extensive amount of work to find the actual "truth" on matters and hence is the reason why people tend to stick with one party or the other.

I am not. My wife, yes. I actually work in higher ed operations.

Fair enough. It sounds like you've implied you'll be a ways off from being able to take it anyway, so maybe just sit back and watch. I wouldn't wait too terribly long, though. I'm personally ready to get things back up and running.

My brother got bell's palsy from Covid. I had covid back in June and had the smell/taste loss and some breathing issues. Didn't even know about the bell's palsy until he just had it.... what's this about the vaccine now?

It happens to be potentially life-threatening to a good number of people. I'm sorry you think they are statistically irrelevant.

That's honestly kinda dumb, too. I assume you think it's more likely to "give you the flu".

My understanding was that those in Tier 1 were in "high risk" positions like the medical field. My dentist yesterday told me that they were in Tier II-A which would make me question why you would be ranked higher than someone who works that closely with people.

Both parties are primarily filled with incredibly simple people. It isn’t an either/or proposition. And it’s the biggest reason why democracy fails quickly.

Nobody should force you

But you lose your ability to make fun of others for their irrational fears and shitty science (ie global warming and 1 million genders)

Typically:
Republican - less government, pro-business
Democrat - more government, pro-individual (Unions, LGBTQIA+)

If we could have a candidate who was fiscally conservative while being socially liberal it would be great.

Not really sure unless it's a difference in the way states are dealing with it. In Georgia, educational faculty and staff have been prioritized to the 1B group. I have close contact with people all the time and we were considered essential enough to go back to the office four days a week on May 1st while many of our faculty have remained in hiding at home, teaching online.

I would assume dentists here are in the 1A.
