It brought me pain to type that finals prediction, but I just can't buy the Bucks or Sixers until I actually see it.

Lakers beating Boston for #18 and finally taking the lead in championships would be borderline erotic. The Bill Simmons meltdown would be all time imo

I’m trying to put together my list right now but 3-8 in the West is such a tossup

IF Portland can for once stay healthy, and Ant takes a step up I see a 3 seed or possibly 2 in our future. Gary Trent took a major step forward, Nurk at full health, added Robert Covington, a healthy Zach Collins and Rodney Hood. I think we have one of the better starting 5s and the deepest bench.
1 Lakers
2 Portland
3 clippers
4 mavs
5 Houston
6 Denver
7 Phoenix
8 Pelicans
9 jazz

Yeah, I'm high on the Jazz as #3, but after that, I have no idea. Lot of health concerns for teams (CP3, Porzingis, Zion) + what happens to Harden.

Same. I wanna put Denver up there but I believe losing Grant will hurt them more than casuals think. I expect Suns to make a big jump along with the Pels if SVG can get that group to buy in defensively and Zion is 100%. I have no idea where Houston factors in depending on what the return for Harden is

He was definitely an underrated piece of their team last year. But otoh, it should create more opportunities for Porter. If he keeps progressing as expected Denver could challenge for the 2 seed.

I agree. Plumlee leaving will take a toll too.

He is such a weird piece for them. Absolutely sucked in the playoffs but helped get them there. He is good enough for regular season but once the squeeze came of playoffs intensity he was played off

Kinda surprised to see so many predictions with Nets being middle of the pack in the East.

Guess I could see them just coasting during the reg season.

Agree with this list in general.

2-3 are interchangeable
4-5 are interchangeable
6-8 are interchangeable
Warriors, Pelicans, Grizzlies interchangeable for the play-in spots
