Going into this one pretty blind. Hope something unexpected happens.

For sure this is a prison break episode.

Ima already staying up for Taylor and Cudi, maybe I’ll just make it the trifecta and whip this out too.

Just finished it. Solid episode, but a filler that didn’t progress the story much. Gave a cool perspective of the empire though.
Next episode seems like it’s going to have to be a long one. Betting we get a big cliffhanger.

Solid episode. Good action. Well acted by Bill Burr imo.
Not a prison break episode, thankfully. It was basically a train robbery+ infiltration episode.
Good for fleshing out the backstory for Mayfield a bit.
Mando has his beliefs tested further in this episode. And Mando now has the ability to both contact and locate Moff Gideon, it moved the plot enough to not call it filler. Pretty key story stuff.
Boba saying “Lets just say they’d recognize my face” Was pretty funny. Slave I is still great. The decision to repaint Boba’s armor is interesting, didn’t expect that. Kinda consistent since some paint schemes of his change between ESB and ROTJ, we just dont ever see it that fresh. But it looked pretty good. It will certainly get scuffed again.

Boba got a new paint job!
That seismic charge at the end was the cherry on top. I swear Filoni and Favreau are just as big of Star Wars nerds as we are to throw that in.
Mando’s message to Moff at the end gave me chills. Pissed him right off.
Not my favorite episode but it still has that true Star Wars feel and as long as it has that I am more than happy.

Let's go finish those TPS reports

Some good action and fun as always. Only problem is the constant fillers. It is still very “saturday morning cartoon” with the weekly pointless side missions. They finally starting pushing the story forward the last few episodes and then we got nothing this week. They are going to have to jam in a bunch next week.
Cliff hangers can be well done and get you excited for the future or they can leave you pissed thinking wtf did I just watch.
The ending message was cool!

Well nobody can claim Mando is a Mary sue. Dude is out there earning everything with these so called side missions.

Really liked the episode. As to the comments that these are just fillers, I disagree. We learn a lot about the empire, the characters back stories, and some plot moves that are a part of the overall story. If we just had main plot the entire time, there would be complaints that it moved too fast. Filoni has done a great job in describing the Star Wars Universe as it is at this point in time all the while giving us a great main plot.

Say what you want about filler, but I enjoyed the shite out of that episode. Really good character building for Mayfeld. I felt the emotion

A nice little heist episode. Burr absolutely crushed it. Whoever does the casting for this show is on fire.

Me too.
Cool train robbery. He even throws the gun when out of ammo. Burr just shooting the officer was cool.
The kid sitting in the side of the road could be in some future episodes. They bring back just about every character eventually.

I really liked that episode. I still don't see Gideon as being anything more than a very isolated threat. He is basically Space North Korea. He can project some force against people incapable of fighting back, but even some savages with pointy sticks are a threat to his operation.

quote:People have become accustom to something "major" happening every episode week after week for these major drama/action/fantasy shows. The truth is that that isn't sustainable and it eventually becomes more and more outlandish and unrealistic. This is what TV shows should be. Not every episode should be a huge reveal but it has to still have a story and purpose. This show is doing that perfectly. For what should be a multi-season show with just 30-40 minute episodes, this is exactly what it should be.
Say what you want about filler

That was literally Gideon's threat to the group at the end of season 1 thrown back in his face.
