Say what you want about Les but he always kept us respectable and never made us a national embarrassment

I see people disagree with this comment and I’m not trying to be a Les apologist but the simple truth is the bottom never fell out with Leslie as it has with Ed. Most programs would kill for the stability of his tenure (And yes I realize we aren’t most programs. He needed to go win he did.)

I don’t. If orgeron gets fired then that’s 6 months to a year away and then you recover. Miles was a 5 year firing process. Don’t miss that.

Not me. My biggest fear was that we'd build a statue of him since he won more games than any previous coach, got a natty, and stayed 11 years.

Luckily, I don't think Louisiana will have the same aversion to getting rid of future coaches. The sky didn't fall last time and we got a natty 3 years later.

[1] Second winningest coach in school history.
[2] Highest percentage of wins in school history.
[3] Highest percentage of sec and top 25 wins in school history.
[4] Made 3 BC bowls with a 2-1 record.
[5] 2 SEC championships (most by any coach, tied with Nick Saban )
[6] Played for 2 NCs ( most by any coach in school history)
[7] 1 NC (most by any coach in school history, tied with Saban, Orgeron and Dietzel )
[8] Most wins against Nick Saban as Alabama coach (3 tied with Gus Malzahn)

The way he was pulled out of the bus while returning from Auburn and fired....was bad Karma!

Remember the bad old days when going 10-3 and 9-4 was not good enough.

Les Miles would still be here today if he wasn't so damned stubborn and unwilling to adapt. Alot of our fanbase bust his chops and rake him over the coals, but you can't say anything about the competitive nature and toughness of his players. Also, he coached here 11 years without any scandals that we know of...

You can maybe miss how he ran his program as a whole, but I sure don’t miss that goofy SOB. That being said, I wasn’t high on the O hire from the get go, had come to think he had gotten it together and then now has washed it down the drain.

Screw Miles I’m glad that idiot is gone. I’ll take a NC with a few bad seasons than 9-3 every year with never a chance of an NC

In a A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME against Bama, offense could not get past midfield. Pretty respectable huh?
